necessary to combat climate change. this is about something much bigger. it's not just a gas tax anymore. many are angry about rising prices and the high cost of living in france. what began as a tax protest essentially game an urban riot. protesters smashing windows and throwing rocks at police and vandalizing the arc de triomphe. these were the most violent protests in a decade with police using tear gas and water cannons on the demonstratodemonstrators. the president rushed back to deal with it. he is considering imposing a state of emergency. that's something that hasn't happened in france since the 2015 terror attacks. >> it's surreal to see the iconic tourist spots in chaos. thank you. >> a woman goes missing while vacationing in costa rica skpa here family is on a desperate search to find her.

a long farewell to george herbert walker bush is under way. nearly a week of ceremonies will end with a burial at the george bush library beside his wife barbara who died in april of this year. it was a love story written over more than seven decades. lester hold has the story. >> their love story began at a christmas dance in 1941 when they were just teens. >> i could hardly breathe, i thought he was so beautiful. >> within 18 months, they pledged they would be together for life. >> she is unbelievable and very strong.
