few minutes. so be careful through the area. still slow and also the road weather index showing you it will be slick in many parts of the north bay. back to you. >> thanks. 5:01 right now. all eyes on the white house after two key court filings were released. the documents show possible political and legal trouble ahead. today in the bay is live for us in washington with more on that ongoing probe, susan. >> hey. good morning. the two filings that happened on friday from two different sources federal prosecutors and also the robert mueller investigation making a filing as well. both have to do with the president's former attorney michael cohen. what happened is house democrats are raising the prospect of impeachment. prosecutors are backing up cohen's claims that the president directed him to make

payments to two women before the election to keep them silent about affairs they had with the president, something president trump continues to deny. cohen also detailed contact with russian officials regarding a project in the works during the election, during the campaign about a trump tower hotel to be built in moscow. some predict that the president could we venn cully face prosecution and possible impeachment. what we have heard about all of the law makers is it is too soon to begin proceedings. they want to make sure there is extremely heart evidence if any does immerge and we'll wait until the results of the mueller investigation. we don't know when that could be. >> all right. thank you, susan. it is 5:02 right now. many are than a dozen people forced out of their homes overnight because of this.

the car crashed next door. when he went outside to see if everyone was okay he saw a woman and plan. the man asked the woman if they were okay and they both took off in a white pickup truck. they had to evacuate while they turned off the gas. they helped eight adults and algt children find another place to stay. even though the gas is turned off you want to make sure there's no damage that will be a problem later on. building inspectors should be out here later today. as you said though it is a hit-and-run crash and san jose police, if you know anything about this they would like to hear from you. today in the bay. >> it is 5:04 right now. thousands of workers going on strike across the state and in the bay area. in total 4,000 plan to take part

sure you check on your flight before you head out. 5:06 right now. when it comes to california's most critical water source it appears we are off to a good start. even though winter is about two weeks away the snow pack is now twice the level it was last year at this time. it is still about one fifth of where it has to be to hit the average snow pack level for the entire season. so let's keep that weather weather coming on. >> yeah. so we are doing better than last year but still not where we are normally for this time of year. now you're seeing dry conditions there. a little bit of rain proving through the bay area. most of the showers will be across the peninsula and towards the east bay. we are looking at wet weather moving through central san francisco right now. as we move towards the east bay some of the showers moving through approaching martinez.

it makes things a little bit slippery as you get ready to head out the door. this is a weakening line of showers that continues to sweep on through. as it moves through the rest of the morning we are going to see a chance of showers but then it does clear out as we go throughout the day. by tomorrow we'll see partly cloudy skies and still kind of cool but a little bit warmer than today. we'll take a look at temperatures and what to expect for the week coming up. mike, you're taking a look at the rain and slick roads in the area. >> you showed us the golden gate bridge. golden gate bridge sees that rain. you can see the car coming and slick roadway. we'll show you traffic flows very nicely to and from the north bay. in the north bay the slicker roadways will ridegister. this is southbound 101 outside the robin williams tunnel. outside of the tunnel but no

they may effect the market. he told leslie last flignight h doesn't do that. >> president trump tweeted his support of the so called yellow vest demonstrations. people that are upset about taxes on gasoline. he tweeted people do not want to pay large sums of money much to those that are questionably run in order to maybe protect the environment. the president does not seem to understand the tax issue there. people were not paying more money to third world countries. they were paying more money to their own government. french taxes on gasoline don't go to the middle east. they go to the french government. very similar to a tweet from the president in which he bragged the u.s. government was collecting billions of dollars on chinese goods. when a foreign good comes in americans pay the tariffs. billions were coming from

very heavy and not very widespread. some of the showers moving through. it is moving through the bay view district and towards the bay bridge. it continues to move over parts of the east bay hills. it is moving through right now and continuing to move up towards kensington. as we track it all we are going to see this quick moving round up and spotty light showers. after that things will start to clear out. not all of us will see the rain. it doesn't look like it will make it to the south bay. a dry day for most of the micro climates. looking for the rain chances over the next couple hours. it will be very cool, only in the upper 40s. reaching into the mid-50s by noon. heading into the south bay our high this afternoon will only reach 58 degrees in east san jose.

fliers and talk to parents to educate them why they are taking action. teachers from at least four other high schools may also be joining this one-day strike. >> the district was not bargaining in good faith. we are asking for a 12% raise. it is not going to even keep up with the cost of living. >> reporter: that was may lee. she is organizing a student walkout. she is a teacher that still lives at home with family in part because of pay issues. they have responded. they say it is an illegal labor action. teachers can call in sick and will be subject to disciplinary action and loss of pay.

aids come back into court. the prosecutors in the michael cohen case said friday that cohen and a person named as individual one worked to cover up trump's sexual relationships by created show companies and paying them in violation of campaign laws. the allegations could be an impeachable offense or a crime mr. trump could be charged with after he leaves office. worse, a different court filing said cohen was in touch with russian officials who offered help electing donald trump as president. russian officials offering what they called a synergy on a government level. shortly after they were publiced he tweeted totally cleared the president thank you. this does nothing of the sort. as we wait through all of this keep there mind there are two investigations. one is by robert mueller. there is another by the u.s.

walk this morning may have to deal with spotty showers especially in san francisco and parts of the peninsula. this is the mobile doppler radar. it will give us a high resolution view of the rain coming down. you can see the rain coming down in the sunset district and richmond district and then extending over. we are going to see some of the showers still continuing there for the next few minutes and then also for the peninsula and then right now seeing a break from the rain. it continues to move through san carlos and approaching redwood city and foster city within the next few minutes. looking at the wider view you can see there's a quick line of showers moving through. mostly mid-to upper 40s. as you make your way out be mindful there will be light rain coming through early but the rest of the day is looking dry. the sun is breaking out and highs reaching into the mid-50s.

there. it shows you the green. that's where the wet roads continue. we are also looking at the north bay. it is slow and that's a typical pattern. also getting down here there may be an issue with one of those lanes. they can't get a crew over there. sit a shift change going on. bad timing for those heading down. fingers crossed that it does clear. more slowing and recovery. it is coming out of concord. nothing on the chp report. wet roads through san pablo. be careful out there as well. as the roadways start to pick up there are no problems. i wanted to show you that problem. this has been the first change in a decade. i'm showing you this. it simplified the art.
