area and bay view district. we are looking at some of those there. getting a soaking in that area. parts of the north bay getting in on light rain. we'll track isolated thunderstorms and a larger storm system coming up. you're hearing about a possible spinout. >> it is at an off ramp. those conditions are ready for that. i have got that radar on there with my traffic and road conditions. south bay getting hit with a little light rain and wet roadways registering around most of the bay. all of this here and towards bay bridge. it is getting the most active reports right now. we see the wet car. a single car crash as you're making that turn. slicker roadways are the word

for concern. those conditions are a factor. back to you. >> thanks. new for you this morning, a hotel employee attack in downtown san jose. this is video into the news room on that scene. police say that the employee was stabbed with a metal object in the side of his neck. you can see right there inside that ambulance there. officers arrested him a short time later. the employee is expected to be okay. it's not clear what lead to that attack. developing right now police say that a manhunt that closed part of interstate 80 late last night ended with officers shooting the service. >> holland accused of stabbing a woman and a girl yesterday at the home where all three lived. you can see the house which

investigators say went up in flames. late last night authorities shut down a stretch and they closed in on the suspect. officers eventually located hip. shots were fired cht the suspect was hit. police are not giving an update on his injury. poli police say the stabbing victims are expected to be okay. . continuing coverage now, armed and dangerous. police looking for three suspects involved in a home invasion. it was a terrifying moment for that family. >> do you recognize these young men? police say they are suspected in a home invasion. >> they rang the doorbell. a nine-year-old answered the door. they pushed the nine-year-old and made entry. >> the nine-year-old then hid in the bathroom. his father heard the commotion. >> one suspect pulled the gun,

held the dad at gunpoint. >> another suspect yelled don't shoot him. they ransacked the home for about 30 seconds and left. >> it is a saturday morning. you're not, you know, seeing that coming. you're probably not thinking about that. the family does have a home surveillance system. >> that's where they got this video and pictures. they also have pictures of the get away car. police put the word out about the car. opd even saw a woman driving it. the suspects are nowhere to be found. that is scary for her who lives next door. >> it is frightening you have to be so suspicious. >> today in the bay. a san francisco man facing fult multiple charges following an explosion. it happened near 2nd street.

factor in the crash. a teacher who taught teacher is now in custody accused of sex crimes against children. police in socal arrested him at a relative's house. she accused of repeated crimes against a child under 14. they are not aware of any other victims but they are also not ruling it out. they asking for help from anyone who has addition flal information. >> police still have work to do to hit response time targets. that's coming straight from chief of police. it take answer average of officers to show up to nit 911 call. the department goal is 6 minutes. the chief says response times across the board have to improve. >> itptab to us. the citizens, businesses, they deserve better.

>> it will be off and on the next couple of days. we are not expecting anything significant. we are in a microclimate weather alert. we get ready for a much larger storm. as we start out this morning a lot of wet roads. it is effecting the bridge. as we go into the north bay we are seeing scattered light showers moving through you get ready to head out. the impacts of therm today will be about half an inch of rain or less. the flood risk is min speeds ups per hour. we have an isolated chance of thunder and surf along the coast at 9 to 12 feet. as the storm moves in much

heavier rainfall and wind speeds may reach 60 miles per hour. also an isolated chance of thunderstorms and waves will come up to about 25 feet. we will have a high wind watch in effect as we go into tomorrow for all of the bay area. that is once again when the gusts may reach 60 miles per hour. we are looking at high winds continuing. into tomorrow evening into thursday morning that's when wind speeds will be the highest. we could see sustained winds rushing up from the south at about 50 to possibly 60 miles per hour. we are looking at scattered showers for today. once again today is a ramp up in the activity as we go into late morning and early afternoon. look at how much heavy rain we could see for parts of the peninsula shortly before noon. we are going to have that chance of thunderstorms that will move into the north bay later this afternoon and a little bit of a break. as we start out tomorrow morning

we will see scattered light showers starting out the day and then the heavier rain arrives tomorrow afternoon into the evening. that's when we'll see the peak wind gusts and the brunt of the storm moving through. here is a look at how much rain we could see. we get several waves of rain moving in. parts of the north bay up to 3 inches of rain. for oakland close to 2 inches of rain. down to the south county close to 2 inches. there may be spots reaching 3 inchesover rain. it could cause runoffs and flooding and high winds we are going to see for the next few days. by friday the storm system moving out. a chance of scattered showers on sunday. overall fairly active. the focus will be tomorrow evening as the strongest part of the storm moves through. you're tracking what's happening

near two of our bridges. crash. looking to the south bay we are seeing all of this radar activity. those will continue the next couple of days will be tough at various times through the day. stick with kari and we are talking about the conditions for the drive. so remember it means slicker roadways possible in many areas. heading to the north bay it should be clear. you're watching from home right now. we are looking at north 680. your commute is typically southbound out of the north bay. right now not much of a drive. traffic is so light there. we do have traffic with no major issues. getting off of that bridge you might be effected by a disabled vehicle. they have to clear that from the off ramp. if it is your exit it may be clear by the time you head over. we'll get a live like. damper roadways there.

we do see that here. a little puddling there. easy drive down to the gold nl gate bridge. one note for transit riders. most of your riders are just fine but we have an early 10 minute delay. some unspecified equipment problems. it is not unusual. if you have to go to a station you have to wait outdoors a little bit longer. >> thank you. they could stay. discussing staying at the oakland coliseum for their final year in the bay area. >> today in the bay reports this all comes as the nfl commissioner said he wants to know where the team will play by next month. >> raiders fans thought it would be the team's last in oakland. there's new hope they could play another year there. they report the team is willing

to discuss playing 2019 at the coliseum. >> i think we would like them to play. >> chris is a raider fan and commissioner on the oakland coliseum authority. >> it is available for them. if you look at any of your options or people have said san diego it will be cheaper to stay in oakland. everything is already in place. >> when the city of oakland filed the lawsuit last month the team recended the officer. they have been shopping for a new one-year home before moving to las vegas in 2020. any move across the bay or to leave would need to be approve bid the 49ers because it is their nfl territory. >> you know, maybe this is due. as a baseball facility you'll have all of that there. i'm sure they will charge what we charge. >> they hope the owner decides

woman that attempts to get a refund on her vacation rental that went awry. >> we check>> good morning. melissa king booke house. she says she quickly realized it wasn't a good fit. she cancelled right away. she says she cancelled 15 days out. the homeowner didn't accept the cancellation the day after. the home away policy stated she would get half her money back, not a full refund because she missed the deadline supposedly. she did get most of her money back. she was still short about $1,400. the company told her she had to get the money from the homeowner. she tried that but the homeowner refused. we asked home away to take a
