currents and dangerous waves upwards of 40-plus feet along the entire coastline, just avoid the area and please be safe out there, folks. let me take you through the futurecast. if you notice, we'll keep the chances of scattered showers in through the evening and as we move into early tomorrow morning, we have another frontal system that moves in, but it keeps the majority of that rain off to the north, so a lot of the bay area won't even see any rain from this system, but on sunday, we've got a pacific storm system and that one is going to bring the best chance of seeing widespreadai the evening hours, was going to be a good weekend m passes by into next week. now, as we head in toward saturday, that slight cetline a through the north bay, but king tides on sunday making their appearance and our temperature also top out into those 50s, so we still have a pretty active weather pattern but at least it is not as intense as what we saw earlier this week. all right, mike, how are the roads looking? >> much calmer than yesterday, definitely.

the sign for safekeeping in his own warehouse. >> reporter: he's not sure if any charges will be pressed against the alleged culprit. the plan for history san jose is to fully restore the sign, including all the neon that used to light it up. it will eventually be part of an outdoor exhibit at the san jose history park. sergio quintana, "today in the bay." you can get ready for loud noise and construction as b.a.r.t. expands in downtown san jose. crews will start the preliminary work next week. the construction may shrink some streets to one lane, also the parking spaces and sidewalks may be offlimits but major construction on the downtown system won't start for another two year u on "today in the bay," "nbc bay area responds." >> the new year has barely begun. we have put thousands of dollars back in people's pockets. i'm consumer investigator chris chmura, "nbc bay area responds," next. but first, happening now, people in argentina struggling to cope with widespread flooding that hit the country's northern
