>> reporter: are you still able to moonwalk? >> inappropriate circumstance. >> my wife says inappropriate circumstances. >> reporter: northam's standing his ground. a long list of people are now saying step aside. democrats including 2020 presidential hopefuls and democratic and republican parties, the state's former democratic governors, even president trump weighing in with a tweet, calling it unforgivable. for some of his constituents, it's not as clear cut. >> he's an honest hard working man who's worked hard for the state for many years. we've all done things we are not proud of. we all have. >> i do like the fact that the democratic party is standing up for what they truly believe. i think it's the wrong direction and i don't think we should be throwing people away for decisions made 35 years ago.

a white house source has leaked nearly everyday of the president's private schedule over the last few month to axios. the schedule shows the president spent about 60% of his time in unstructured executive time. the press secretary tells nbc news the less rigid schedule is part of a different leadership time than past presidents saying there's a time to allow for a more creative environment and helped to make president trump the most productive president in modern history. >> thank you. a programming note, nbc news will have live coverage of the president's "state of the union" address, starts tomorrow at 9 pacific. a crash into a home killing at least five people and injuring two others. morgan is in yorba linda just outside l.a. what have you learned overnight? >> reporter: we're still trying to figure out what caused this plane to go down. we have learned this debris

>> reporter: as everyone watched flames tear through the home of one of their own. more than 70 firefighters doing their best to keep flames from spreading to nearby homes. two people injured on the ground taken to a nearby hospital. crews found the cabin of the small twin engine plane, a st cessna 414a nearby. >> one doa. >> reporter: confirming the aircraft had just taken off from nearby fullerton municipal airport. >> we have now confirmed five individuals deseize individuals deceased. one is a male and two females. >> what caused the plane to break apart from above? a close call not lost on anyone in this community. >> 100 feet away. it could have been in my living room just as easily as those people living room. i'm thankful for it but a bad

good monday morning. i'm meteorologist kari hall. our microclimate weather alert continues as we track some waves of heavy rain moving through, and storm ranger, the red scan showing that we do have the rain returning to the north bay, as well as the east bay, right over oakland right now, with rainfall rates close to a half of an inch of rain per hour, so we're still going to add up on the rainfall totals, and also see some wet conditions, as you get ready to head out the door this morning. a lot of this heavy rain that we're seeing just off the coast will be moving in, within the next 30 to 40 minutes. we're going to see this rain off and on as a cold front sweeps through the bay area, and by tonight, we could start to see temperatures dropping, and also the potential of some snow on bay area hills, from the east bay to the north bay, and also a wintry mix in the north bay. and then after that, after the rain clears out, it's just going to be cold and dry, some freezing temperatures for the

a small plane to go down in southern california on sunday. the pilot and four people inside a home were killed in the crash. two other people were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. the plane had taken off from a nearby airport just minutes earlier. virginia's governor ralph northam is clinging to office amid rising calls for him to step down from his own party. northam insists he did not appear in a 1984 yearbook photo that showed a man in black face and another in a ku klux klan costume that was on his page. this contradicts his earlier remarks on friday when he apologized for that photo, but northam has acknowledged he did wear black face when he dressed up as michael jackson in 1984. the chairwoman of the congressional black caucus said on sunday that northam quote, still does not understand the seriousness of his action. we've got the news covered. how about a little morning boost. a beautiful moment at a wedding in brazil that left everybody there in tears.
