with him. or perform or be locked in a room. >> michael avenatti represents several clients who are prepared to testify against kelly. he says he turned over a video to authorities that reportedly shows kelly engaging in illegal sex acts with a 14-year-old girl. >> both the victim and mr. kelly refer to the victim's age. >> two decades of sexual misconduct accusations have followed the singer. he was acquitted of all child pornography charges in 2008. but a recent lifetime docu-series put the spotlight back on his past. >> he preferred the younger ones what you it was either to manipulate. >> shortly after it aired, a chicago prosecutor made a plea for any victims to come forward. >> we cannot seek justice without you. >> kelly has consistently denied any wrongdoing. his lawyer defended his client friday saying the victims are

evidence. >> how challenging of a case is this? >> typically it is a he said/she said case.of a case is this? >> typically it is a he said/she said case. which can be difficult to prove. but based upon the fact that at a minimum there exists a video of an alleged sex act between r. kellyanne one of the vehicle and one of the the victims,ing it corroborating evidence and that is what you want. you usually don't get that you usually get their testimony as the victim against that of the defendant good he even at all speaks if he even testifies in court. so the existence of at least one video, of aavenatti says perhaps there is another video. >> and there are a lot of people wondering that there were videos before. but this one you can clearly see

his face. is that the difference this time especially if you have more videos? >> yeah, and kind ever of disturbing that that is the way we judge the case is the quality of a video of alleged sex ablgts sacts with minors. but the 2008 acquittal, he rolled the dice and went to trial and he was acquitted, there is the suggestion that the video was really not that good and the victim refused to testify obviously hurt the prosecution's case. from what what we understand we didn't have that situation here. we have four victims, the range from 199 to 2010. and they were 13 to 16 years of age. so that is why we have the felony counts. >> and of course this is after the docu-series where several of the women say that they were sexually abused by r. kelly and he says they are all lying. but after that decrease could

you seardock could you sear requireku seercould you sear series the prosecutor said we need you to tell your 120er story. >> and we know that the defense is already pushing back. he basically went on the attack he took the gloves off and said they are all lying, but he also noted the existence of that docu-series stating that they are all looking for the gravy train. and that is the quintessential play book defense in a criminal sexual abuse case. you go after their credibility, you try to suggest to the jury that theic have tims are lying because they want either fame or fortune and you use that to your advantage. but if i were the criminal defense attorney i wouldn't be talking so much right now because i haven't seen the evidence. the criminal defense attorney has said he hasn't seen the video that directly allegedly inchmplicates r. kelly.

around los angeles were forced to close. the unusual wintry weather left some celebrating and others scratching their heads. in arizona, police officers in tucson investigated the suspicious white powdery substance. >> it is frozen water. they call it snow. >> reporter: while further north the in flagstaff, more than three feet of snow fell in just one day shattering a century old record. in the southeast, heavy rains are reeking havoc. officials in alabama warning residents that roads and blinlgt ss roads and bridges may become impasseableimpassable. and firefighters in tennessee focused on search and rescue sefrts s 70ss s efforts after a mudslide. so i want to focus first on the rain because is this an area totally saturated. you can see heavy rain continues to fall.

same goes for northern mississippi where they have already picked up about 10 inches of rain. so we have 25 million people under the flash flood watches. and this will be an area that not only do we have to worry about the torrential downpours leading to flooding but we also have the severe threat especially in this dark e.est red here. damaging winds and tornadoes are a possibility with this storm system. so as we go through the day, we will see these storms fire up through the afternoon, through this evening. this will move across the east coast as we go in to tonight and saturday. and then this will produce some really heavy rain up and down the east coast before exiting as we xwhoe ingo late in the afternoon on sunday. but again the flooding rain will be the biggest concern because the ground is saturated and we could easily see administermore flash flooding and rivers and streams overflowing. we could see another 3 to 344

expectation that he will publicly release the report mueller submits to him. under the special counsel rules, barr isn't obligated to do so. but the democrats say withholding evidence uncovered by the special counsel could be means for a coverup. as the washington waiting game goes on at least a little longer attention turns to mr. trump's former long time lawyer and fixer michael cohen who is set to testify publicly on capitol hill next week. the stage is set for a high ith the "new york times" first reporting friday that cohen told prosecutors about possible irregular business dealings within the trump family business. according to the "times," it is an indication that prosecutors are interested in matters at the trump organization that go beyond its role in the illegal hush payments made to women before the 2016 election who claim to have had affairs with mr. trump. cohen pleaded guilty to

arranging the payments in violation of campaign finance laws. he is due to start a three year prison term in may. >> and we're still waiting for the sentencing memo for paul man forth fort. what is the latest on that? >> we expected to's it overnight, but it was not publicly released. a judge ruled that manafort lied about his communications with a former business associate with alleged ties to russian intelligence named konstanin kilimnick. prosecutors say the relationship goes to the heart of what the special counsel's office is investigating. so the memo could fill in pieces of the puzzle. >> another dramatic day in washington. >> and as we mentioned, president trump isn't mincing words when it comes to the democrats' attempt to block his emergency declaration to pay for a border wall saying he will use

sand stone when the cliff collapsed just before 3:00. the san francisco fire department has launched a massive recovery effort working to dig out the woman's body from under sand and dirt. this is at fort funston. people on the beach were able to help dig out one ry buried up to her waist. emergency crews took her to the hospital with minor injuries. more than 50 firefighters raced to the beach with shovels. that frantic effort went on for three hours. jeff adachi has died of an apparent heart attack. the sudden death of the 59-year-old is sending shockwaves across the city and beyond. he was elected public defender back in 2002 and served in that role since. he spent more than 32 years as part of that office as the only public defender elected in the state. he was just sworn in for his fifth term. that was for the city of san

catholic leaders are gathering today part of a four day summit. to address sexual abuse claims against priests dating back decades. today a prominent nun blasted the church for what she claims is a culture of silence. pope francis is pushing for church leaders to be held more accountable. rescuers in san francisco are searching for the body of a woman who was trapped when a cliff collapsed. and buried her in a landslide. the woman and a friend were walking about halfway up when it gave way. much the friend and a dog survived. and nasa is remaining one of its buildings after katherine johnson, her story told in the film "hidden figures." the building fittingly is home to programs that support the space agency's highest profile missions. and also this morning, patriots owner robert kraft in

hot water charged with two misdemeanor counts of soliciting sex, caught up in a month's long sting in florida and police say there is video evidence of a crime. kerry sanders is in jupiter with the latest. >> reporter: good morning. robert kraft is not the only business titan caught up in this investigation, but he is of course the most high profile. this all began with a complaint to the health department about this massage parlor. this morning new england patriots owner robert kraft fresh off celebrating his team's sixth super bowl win is on the defense. >> he's being charged with soliciting another to commit prostitution. >> reporter: the billionaire is one of more than two dozen men accused of frequenting this massage parlor, a front authorities say for prostitution. investigators say kraft visited

twice. the month's long operation involved round the clock surveillance and hidden cameras inside. >> the video that we obtained shows the act that took place. >> reporter: kraft's wife of 48 years died of cancer in 2011. a spokesman for the 77-year-old seen here with his girlfriend says we calfriend says we cat ghoregoryically deny that mr. kraft engaged in any illegal activity. president trump who has dined with kraft at mar-a-lago weighed in on the charges. >> well, it is very sad. i was very surprised to see it. he has proclaimed his innocence totally but i'm very surprised to see it. >> reporter: the investigation part of a multiagency crackdown on suspected human trafficking of women from china to florida. >> our concern in this investigation centers around possibility of victims of human trafficking. if there are customers, then these types of businesses can flourish. >> reporter: if convicted on the

charges, robert kraft could face a $500 fine and 60 days in skral. the vehicle jail. the victims came from china and many thought that they were coming to the united states for legitimate jobs. paying in some cases up to $20,000. they landed in new york and then found themselves in florida speaking only chinese, they found no way out before sort of a surreal scene here last night as people came out finding out where this was located, lining up and taking pictures, sell if is onselfies, just an 234ushunusual kind of scene in the wake of the serious nature of what happened here or alleged to have happened here. >> could robert kraft face repercussions from the nfl? >> there is a morals clause. so he will have to face that.

hiding. all right. thanks. this morning the search continues for a woman buried in a cliff collapse at a san francisco beach. yesterday two women walking on the beach with a dog were suddenly buried in a mountain of sandstone when the cliff collapsed just before 3:00. the san francisco fire department has launched a massive effort which became a recovery effort after three hours digging out the woman's body. witnesses on the beach helped to dig out the first woman who was trapped up to her waist. emergency crews took her to the hospital with minor injuries. her dog survived as well. >> the recovery effort will resume this morning. san francisco public defender jeff adachi has died of an apparent heart attack. the sudden death of the 59-year-old is sending shockwaves across the city and beyond.
