telegraph place. according to a police summery, this is where jeff adachi was found. in this san francisco police summary obtained, police report officers were called to a residence on telegraph place to meet about the discovery of jeff adachi's body. the medical examiner called to cancel the officers from responding. police kept going and were told a woman called 911 from adachi's phone. they took him to cmc where he was pronounced dead. first responders showed up last night, window. i coul s lights, so i looked out and leaned out the window. i could see there was a big fire truck here. >> reporter: thomas lived here 38 years and described it as a

quiet street. he didn't see a lot of people coming and going from the home. co-workers mourn the death of the san francisco public defender, remembering him as a tireless advocate for the underserved. a tribute was set up at the public defender's office. >> he really liked having built this office, one of the finest law offices in the country. >> reporter: adachi had a huge impact on the community. >> we are really focused on criminal justice reform. he was my real partner in that effort. >> reporter: she says adachi who started as a public feer in wonat about reforming the justice system. according to a statement, adachi was in north beach last night having dinner with a friend when he started having difficulty breathing. he was 59 years old.

denuclearization. special counsel robert mueller filed a sentencing memo for paul manafort. he pleaded guilty to conspiracy back in september. prosecutors are alleging manafort kept breaking the law, even after he was indicted. we have more from white house correspondent, kelly o'donnell. >> reporter: today, the office of special counsel laid out a damming portrait of paul manafort. prosecutors write, his criminal actions were bold, some of which were committed while und spotlight, due to his work as campaign chairman. ageda filing in washington could shape how much prison time he faces for one of two criminal cases. the special counsel does not recommend a specific number of years, but prosecutors weave a narrative of deception and greed, involving his lobbying

three of them were minors and the alleged crimes happened between 1998 and 2010. in court saturday, prosecutors described the accusations against kelly and supporting evidence including video of a sexual encounter. >> in the video, the victim repeatedly, repeatedly says she is 14 years old. kelly, whose name is robert has been dogged with sexual allegations for decades. the metoo movement put him back in the spotlight. a prosecutor called for possible victims to come forward. >> we cannot seek justice without you. >> kelly consistently denied wrong doing. kelly's accusers are lying and want profit off his success. >> presumed innocent. we haven't seen anything, any reason to believe these allegations are credible. >> reporter: as conditions released he had to give up his

passport. he's not allowed to have any contact with anyone under 18 years old. the next court hearing is set for next monday. chris pollone, nbc news. diane finestein is getting social media attention for how she responded to children urging her to support the new green deal. a group of kids went to finestein's san francisco office friday. they were sponsored by the sunrise movement, a climate change activist group. the message is they would be the ones dealing with the consequences if actions aren't taken now. she told them she supported a different version of the green deal, one that could be approved by congress. >> the government is for the people, by the people. >> you know what's interesting about this group is i have been doing this for 30 years. i know what i'm doing. you come in here and you say it

not as cold as the radar scanning doesn't really find showers. we have more clouds outside and that's going to keep the temperatures up. a few sprinkles out there to the north. between now and midday tomorrow, maybe briefly, just a little something to reach it around half-moon bay. again, not a major event for sunday. things begin to change for monday and tuesday. tonight's temperatures should be dropping in the low 40s. tomorrow highs overcast skies, highs closer to 60. upper 50s to near 60. similar temperatures around 50sd sprinkles at miles per hour. the coolest temperatures found in the north bay where there will be a chance of showers, mainly toward sonoma county. notice the trend heading into monday. the rain begins to move south as we approach the commute and midday monday, the first of

steadier rain shows up around the bay area. as we see a surge of, again, tropical moisture, it's aiming in across northern california starting monday, probably into wednesday morning. some of the rainfall estimates now are very high, once again, getting the tropical boost, especially in sonoma county. we could see 4-6 inches of rain, maybe higher. the timing of this looks like the north bay dealing with quite a bit of rain monday, tuesday into wednesday. eventually the central bay and south baby tuesday afternoon into the wednesday morning commute and skies temporarily clear around midday on wednesday. thursday, we catch a break, then another fast moving system brings more rain our way friday into saturday. weekend plans don't look too bad. the period from monday to wednesday, the rain totals verified, we could be looking at flooding concerns.

development. he warned city leaders google's expansion will increase the traffic gridlock. they have snagged up dozens of buildings. >> we are all for new development. we just want to make sure there's a plan put in place to address the changes that this new development is going to cause. >> reporter: the current plan requires many businesses to reduce solo cars or face fines. some are considering car shuttles or car pooling. how much motivation does the city have? here is what we are talking about. from june, 2016 through july of this year, google agreed to pay nearly $1.25 million to fund two staff positions. >> if the gift was made to an individual public official, we would all be up in arms.

>> reporter: she says the agreement appears to create a conflict of interest. we learned one of the city employees google paid for, a traffic engineer helped review the vehicle reduction plans at google offices. is this a way to buy influence? >> even if that wasn't the intended affect, it certainly gives the appearance that might be what is the motivation behind it. >> reporter: no one from the city would talk to us about controls to prevent a conflict. the city cited the contractying priority over city services funded by the agreement. in addition to the traffic engineer, several managers help guard against preferential treatment. >> even if they agree they won't get special treatment, is that what is going to happen? >> reporter: google didn't respond to multiple requests for

yes for less. union city yesterday. two teens were stabbed. today, we know a little more a follow up to the violence in union city yesterday. two teenagers were stabbed. today, we know a little more about the victim rushed to the hospital. he was stabbed in the lower abdomen. he is now in stable condition after surgery the second victim not badly hurt. they tracked down the suspect at a grocewardnd arrested him on charges of attempted murder. ten people arrested and several weapons off the street after a gang sweep. police confiscated three handguns, 20 prescription pills and a knife. the operation began after complaints of gang activity near beachwood and myrtle. nine adults and a 15-year-old were taken into custody. two additional teens were detained, but later released to their parents. a florida mayor released

from office after being charged of shooting at deputies. it happened thursday when they tried to arrest the port richey mayor. he had a history of drug use and violence, which prompted deputies to raid his home. the mayor fired the deputies during the raid. nobody was hit. they face five counts of attempted murder. top defense officials got an up close look at sections of the u.s.-mexico border today. they visited a site near el paso, texas. they want to see how the military could boost efforts to block drug smuggling and other illegal activity. clashes continue on venezuela's border with columbia. today, venezuela national guard troops fired tear gas on angry residents on the bridge leading
