alert. ad lib radar. a good tuesday morning to you, february 26th, we are in a micro climate weather alert. look at the radar there. the storm makes its way across the bay area. good morning to you. >> let's get straight to ckari now. >> some of the heaviest rain continues in the north bay, it is also continuing move through san francisco as well as much of the east bay. on the south bay, we see mostly cloudy skies and the road and everything is dry. it is raining now around

saratoga and also in the santa cruz mountain. a lot more rain, this will stick with us with a steady downpour all throughout the day for most areas north of san francisco. as you head to the south, you may not see some of the heavier rain until later on this afternoon. it will continue through this evening, san jose is missing out on that rain until later on tonight. i will be tracking all of this for you and the impact of flooding that we may see over the same area. mike, you are tracking the drive and the bay bridge looks really messy. >> you see all that water and soupy, hitting the lens right now. active as far ases right? san francisco, harrison, west 80 reports of a spin out there.

north. you are going see some issues as far as potential flooding in rows when you are driving alon . i actually tweeted out some videos not too long ago. more and more of the rain. i have some videos from san rafael of some rain issues in the area. pretty much of what we show you on our live shot and some of the videos you see there. that's what we are seeing all morning long in our short drive here in the north bay starting from the middle valley area as we are enroute into santa rosa. we are hearing reports of a number of flooded roads in that area. that area is prone to a lot of flooding. we'll check in again and i am going to take advantage of this, this is my driest live report so far this morning. at 5:00 a.m. and 5:30.

police are investigating a shooting in san francisco in reno, near san francisco. when officers arrived after 7:00 last night, they found a woman had been shot. she was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. police have not released any information about that suspect. this morning, we are getting a look at the man who tried to kidnap a girl out of san ramon. this is a sketch of who police are looking for. we brought you this story on saturday. the 13 years old girl was walking home. that man pulled up and said that your dad asked me to pick you up and drop her at home. he tried to grab her and she ran off. the 23 years old was convicted of giving material support to a terrorist organization. he admitted to opening e-mails

poncho and the boots. our temperatures staying cool and only holding steady in the mid-50s. a look at storm ranger, it gives us a high level of detail of where it is raining. for the north bay, we have seen a lot of yellow in red showing some pockets of rain moving through marin county and also around sonoma and also we go over to vallejo where there is some heavy rain pouring at this point and richmond, pretty much everywhere except for the south bay. as you get ready heading out this morning, we'll see this line of where the showers are happening, kind of slowly sat to the south as the atmosphere guru is still raining in some of the bay area. we are seeing it is starting to wrap up further to the north in eureka. still some off and on showers. we'll see the rain mainly

focused on the north bay again today. san francisco, oakland, there will be some break here and there, at times when that rain starts to pour, it is going to make it really hard to get out and do a lot of things because it is going to rain for several hours or going into the evening commute and it starts to once again shift to the south just a little bit going into tonight as well as tomorrow. we'll gradually start to see this breaking up a little bit but still some scattered showers here and there. we may also have a chance of a few thunderstorms for tomorrow. looking at additional rainfall totals, we gotten anywhere inch parts of the north bay. for the east bay and south bay, a little over an inch to two inches for most of us. we talked about that sierra travel, it is going to be snowing throughout the day tomorrow as well as thursday and possibly into the start of the day on friday.

snow in some of those higher elevations, mostly above 5,000 feet. this will giver us us a bit of break on thursday before early friday before the next storm system moves in. it is nice to see that we have a chance to let some of the water soaked in. still a pretty active pattern near. the next 24 hours will be the real part of the storm, the brunt of the storm that we'll watch for a lot of flooding and damaging winds. like you are saying get prepared for those wet conditions. >> kari, you talked about how it is strict in certain locations where it is going t going to ge break. san mateo, it was raining. you see that mists kicking up behind the truck and spreading across behind itself. there will be sloppy conditions all around the san mateo bridge though showing our map and weather combined right here.
