tariffs. if that doesn't stop the drugs, we close the border. >> it comes as the border patrol says the flood of migrants comes to a breaking point approaching 100,000 in march. the president has faced backlash from members of his own party to keep the border open saying a shut down would devistate the economy. >> it would cause as much damage to the u.s. economy as it would the mexican economy. it looks like we have a case of quid pro quo on capitol hill. in a bid to stay out from behind bars, michael cohen is telling members of congress he has more to say. according to a letter sent to several top democrats, he said he located several documents that he believes would add significant value. cohen found a hard drive with 14

million files. he's been reviewing the documents alone without help. they said if he reports to prison as scheduled, he won't be able to continue viewing. the justice department has put on mounting pressure to release the full mueller report and even expressing frustration of how william barr presented the findings on the question of obstruction of justice. hallie jackson has more. >> reporter: nbc news has learned the evidence that president trump obstructed justice is stronger than suggested according to a us official. mueller never concluded either way whether the president obstructed justice so william barr made a determination himself writing he and his attorney general rod rosenstein
