ape first look at a passive fire at a pallet company in stockton. this video was taken just moments ago. we're told it is in the port of stockton, a four-alarm fire at this point. it came from a news crew that was headed to the scene on i-5. flames are so massive that even though they are miles away, they can spot the flames and the giant column of smoke. we are monitoring this and bring you new video as soon as we get it. we have been telling you about this fight over a homeless center for weeks now. happening today, a big vote that could determine the navigation center's future. there's been push back on all sides. >> pete suratos joins us with details. pete, clearly not everybody will be happy on this one. >> yeah. not happy at all. good morning, chris and marcus. homeless shelter will be built

jox blockson taped a camera to his shoe and the girl's father spotted him putting it under his daughter's skirt. >> he put his foot under her dress. when he looked down on the shoe, he could see a camera. >> reporter: when the father confronted him, he took off running. a woman chased him into a parking garage and pointed him out to police before he could drive away. >> in his car, we located a camera that matched the description of what the dad had seen. we found other recording devices. and we're still going through all of that. >> reporter: people who say they know him say he's a former personal injury attorney. parents shopping at the apple store say it is concerning. >> no telling where that information is going, who else -- i mean somebody else could have been looking at that at the same time with that person. so it's horrible.

56 in hayward. and we've got upper 50s in san francisco. 59. but i want to show you the 24-hour temperature change. napa is running 12 degrees warmer compared to where we were yesterday. san jose, 6 degrees warmer. this will set us up for a quick warmup. let's get right to your daytime highs. 89 degrees in gilroy. 89, morgan hill. san jose, a high of about 86. the south bay expect to go inch near the 90s. check out your east bay temperatures. low 90s, upper 80s. walnut creek, 90 degrees. danville, 92. concord, 90. pleasanton, 90. vallejo, 88. that's hour hottest spot. the coast is getting in on the action. san ma toyeo, 83. san francisco, we are tracking upper 70s. 77 degrees. now, today is expected to be the warmest day for the city in

particular. so the coastal areas will be seeing the warmest day. believe it or not, interior valleys are expecting things to get warmer as we head into tomorrow. these won't be the warmest temperatures we have seen just yet. napa, 90 degrees. if you're going out wine tasting, pair the wine with water, please. the long range outlook. we are seeing a warmup because of this strong ridge of high pressure that's drying us out. there is not a lot of moisture in the air, so it won't feel humid. but the temperatures will be warm, and the temperatures will showcase that. high pressure moves away from san francisco. sunshine remains. and the hot inland temperatures will stick around, becoming hotter by tomorrow. mike, how are the roads? >> they're looking great. almost everywhere. crash around crow canyon. it moved off to the shoulder. it's the only one we have on our maps. this is the issue, north of the golden gate bridge. a little bit of slowing. the hazard is bread scattered

across the roadway. some folks are seeing what they think are pillows. chp says, well, it's just bread. so it will break apart. you see slowing on the sensors towards the robin williams tunnel. vianey showed you that earlier. folks traveling north. looking toward the northbound, i don't see anything. but people must be tapping brakes a little bit to show up on the sensors. a little bit of slowing in this one lane that is empty, the third lane instead of the second lane. that's what's going on right now as far as the backup of the toll plaza. this should clear. back to you. . all right. thanks, mike. 4:50 for you right now. breaking news. take a look a lot these flames coming out of stockton right now. a massive fire burning at a pallet yard in stockton. as you can see, fire crews are working very hard to get the flames under control. earlier we saw video of our

photographer heading to the scene. you could actually see the flames from miles away. you can see how intense that fire is. that bill low of smoke there as firefighters work extremely hard to get this fire out of a pallet yard at the port of stockton. we will follow this story throughout the morning and bring you more updates. a bizarre sight. these two men started fighting sunday night on 101, morgan hill. by the time chp showed up, the two were gone. >> at that point the pontiac was next to me. he put his car in park and jumped out. the guy in front jumped out and was like it's go time and they just started wailing on each other. >> if the drivers are caught, they could face battery charges. a tense situation in frem t

fremont. a man got trapped in a trench yesterday. it is unclear exactly how this happened. but we do know he was stuck from the waist down. firefighters managed to pull him out. but we are still waiting to hear the word on his condition this morning. >> a follow-up for you now. elizabeth holmes, the founder of the failed theranos, now has a trial date. a judge proposed a trial date of july 8th. 35-year-old holmes was once named one of forbes' richest women and is pleading not guilty. a soda tax has fallen flat for now. the proposed two cent tax stalled on committee. the senator who sponsored the bill will try once again next year. the beverage industry spent $12 million fighting the proposed
