this surveillance video is disturbing to see it, 76-year-old man getting out of his seat and moving toward the exit of the city bus. meanwhile he has an exchange with a woman standing there. when he gets to the door you see her push him down on to the pavement. this happened back on march 21st. the man's family says that he died from those injuries. on april 23rd. police have now charged that woman for murder. tributes are pouring in for comedy icon tim conway who died tuesday. his former co-stars carol burnett and vicki lawrence are remembering him. burnett said in a statement, i'm heartbroken and lawrence posted this remembrance collage on instagram. nbc's harry smith looks back at the legendary comic's career. >> reporter: tim conway had a funny face.

parents are away a boy in tennessee recently reuniting with his dad after a long deployment. nbc's peter alexander went back to visit them to learn more about the emotional toll all that time apart takes. >> reporter: for ten months, luca cesternino counted down the days until he'd see his dad again. what's tough about being a military kid >> being with my dad, because me and him are best buds, connected. >> reporter: we first met 9-year-old luca on the mats. blindfolded, he thought he was sparring with his instructor until he heard a familiar voice. and a nickname that only one person would know. >> daddy >> reporter: staff sergeant rob cesternino home from syria that hug revealing the relief and the hardship of all that time apart what were you thinking >> like this has to be a joke. and i just saw it. and i ran to him >> reporter: when our loved ones serve, they're not the only ones who sacrifice.

>> when i go on a deployment, i know the expectation i know my mission, and we know that the military is going to take care of us, but we have no idea what's going to happen with our family when we're gone >> reporter: what were the signs of luca sort of experiencing his dad being away >> rebelling against me a lot. just wanting to talk to him when he couldn't. there was a lot of emotional stuff that started coming out of him that we had never seen. >> reporter: luka is one of 2 million kids with a military parent. and when mom or dad is deployed, studies show those kids often experience sleeping problems, irritability, even aggression. >> there is sorrow at first. they're sad. then it -- in some cases it turns more to anger. >> reporter: rob clapper runs our military kids, a nonprofit that gives grants to the children of national guard and reserve members. 65,000 in the last 15 years for dance classes, horseback riding, and taekwando too. >> it's like home away from home. >> reporter: taekwando is home away from home >> yes, sir.
