"early today" starts right now good morning i'm marlie hall. >> and i'm phillip mena. an investigation is underway in dallas, texas, after a massive crane crashed through four floors of an apartment building and parking garage, killing at least one person and injuring five others. two people are in critical condition. the collapse did come as a powerful storm was moving through the area, bringing with it wind gusts over 70 miles per hour nbc's dan scheneman has this report >> oh, my god, the crane is falling over >> reporter: in the dallas skyline, a crane topples over and onto a high rise residential building authorities secured the area >> it appears to have collapsed across the street. in fact, goes a lot further into the building that it collapsed on >> reporter: the massive structure ripped through homes and a parking garage, claiming at least one life and injuring others there are no reports of anyone missing, but many are left
