iranian coast. both were struck by explosives in the gulf of amman. here is aj an image, it is an oil tanker flyin under the marshall island's flag. it was on its way to taiwan and carrying oil. the other is japanese owned. in both cases, the ship sustained significant fire damage, but all 44 sails or on board, both tankers were safely evacuated. the incidents are being called suspicious. nothing is confirmed, but oil prices are shooting higher by nearly 5% all right. we will continue to follow this breaking story for you. updates as we get them. back in the bay area, fire danger is still high, with lower temperatures, it might be a good time to clear the brush around your home. >> they are reminding people that an important deadline is q. the contra costa fire department says it is critical to repair for fire season by getting rid of any dry brush.

if you have dry brush along your property line, you need to clear it, with cardboard, trash, trimming, anything that can catch fire. the fire department says you have until sunday. sunday is father's day, so you might want to help your dad clean it up before that's g that deadline. west county has a deadline at the end of the month. we do have a live report on the fire danger coming up. now to a follow-up, crews are making progress in the battle of the sand fire in yolo county, at last check, they have about 90% of that fire contained. more than 2500 acres have burned. that's about 16 times the size of disneyland. no homes are damaged, but several other structures were destroyed. evacuation orders were listed on monday. in lafayette, a handful of homes are still without power after a tree came down and took

out power lines last night. >> that tree took out a utility pole, prompting a shelter in place in the surrounding area as well. authorities lifted the shelter in place about three hours ago, well, about three hours later, that was about 10:00 last night. well, a man accused of posing as a police officer, at least two different times may tike i take a plea deal in at least one of those cases, he was arrested in cherry blossom festival in san leandro earlier this month. >> that arrest came days before he was also taken into custody for trying to pull someone over in oakland. today's plea hearing is in connection to his san leandro arrest. we want to right a correction about a story we told you about a battle in mountain view, the city councilotedo postpone any decision. yesterday we told you the council spent more than seven hours listening to residents and debating the issue and then after much thought, they did pass a motion to have them come back with a new ordinance in the

9:00, upper 60s at noon. a great day to take a look outside. enjoy the cooler weather. it will still be warm in the south bay. and this is going to be still ike i said warm, but much recently. so looking at some highs up to 83 in gilroy as well as milpitas. in concord today, reaching 86 and 79 in hayward. half moon bay cooling off to 65 as the fog lingers there. then we'll see some clearing in redwood city as the temperature reaches 79. breezy westerly wind, picking up in san francisco. keeping it in the 60s. the north bay will be hot. especially in some of the valleys further to the north. ukiah, we're reaching 90 degrees. some spots will stay in the 70s. here's what's changing, we have an on shore wind flow. a little more brisk today. at noon, we're getting breezy winds continuing to pick up. so that westerly wind, transporting cooler ocean air. not only for the coast but all
