>> late friday, iranian fast boats blocked commercial tugs from towing the tanker explosives attached to the side of the ship, just below the waterline. the u.s. military releasing this video. they claim it shows an iranian revolutionary guard patrol boat removing an unexploded mine from one of the tankers after the attack president trump blaming iran. >> well, iran did do it. you know they did it because you saw the boat i guess one of the mines didn't explode. it probably got essentially iran written all over it. >> reporter: iran denies being involved last month the u.s. military sent the aircraf u.s.s. abraham lincoln, b52 bombers and other assets to the region to counter what they called credible and eminent threats to u.s. and allies here.

>> good morning, guys, we have some rain to talk about especially through the midwest and areas dealing with the river flooding more heavy rain in missouri and illinois we have a chance for flash flooding mostly across the upper midwest and into the great lakes you can see 60 million people are under the flash flood watches for today. the heavier downpours and the ground being saturated, it could lead to brief flash flooding a risk of stronger storms in an expansive area frommest earn ohio stretching back down into texas. we could see hail up to two inches in diameter we could see wind gusts over 60 miles per hour a low risk of tornadoes for today. tomorrow we're going to see storms extending into the northeast and mid atlantic the best chance of severe weather with the large hail and damaging winds will be back through oklahoma and parts of texas tomorrow it's all with this frontal system slowly moving eastward. we will see the showers move through indiana, into illinois, ohio and eventually into the interior northeast today and

night. as you hear in this video, chaos and screaming. an active shooter somewhere inside the costco. now, the customer who shot this video was grabbing groceries when she heard seven to eight gunshots. police captured the gunman who said he was injured and was immediately taken to the hospital. one customer says as she heard gunshots ring out her first reaction was to shield her daughter. >> crawled around to where she was where zwshe was and it was just hystera, screaming and crying, and people running, of course. it was frightening. >> other people reported hearing an argument before the shots broke out. shoppers ran for safety. some were trampled and hurt in the chaos. in san jose, officers made quite a discovery during a probrasion for a gang member. they found 500 pounds of illegal

and rising tensions with iran. we are learning of dramatic confrontations between iran and the u.s. american officials say iranian backed forces shot down a u.s. drone over the red sea and narrowly missed another. this was just before two oil tankers were attacked in the gulf of oman. iran denies responsibility for the attacks but president trump said it probably has iran written all over it. a big reversal in hong kong, the government there announcing a delay of the controversial proposal that set off those massive protests this last week. it would have let the government extradite people from hong kong to mainland china, a week of demonstrations, some that turned viole violent appears to have swayed lawmakers, protesters say suspending the bill does not go far enough. more sdem strademonstrations ar for this weekend. a rash of suicides, a 29-year-old officer shot himself friday. he's the third new york city policeman to kill himself in

three days, call ting this a mental health crisis and asking officers to take care of each other. a vicious coyote attack on a young family in new jersey. the animal came out of the woods as a mom was pushing her two kids in a stroller on the park thursday. the stroller toppled over in the figt fight, the coyote got ahold of her 4-year-old son. police tracked the family down and killed it. amanda knox is back in italy and speaking out about her murder conviction and acquittal that set off an international p uproar. she says she lives in fear of being unjustly accused. sarah harmon is following this story for us. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. amanda knox knows that many people think she's crazy to go back to italy. she says she was warned that she could be falsely accused or even attacked in the streets.

she is determined to tell her side of the story. >> amanda knox center stage visibly emotional. speaking in italian, knox told the audience through tears she is still scared now today of being attacked, vilified of new accusations just because she's come here to tell her version of the story. she spent four years behind bars after she was convicted of murdering her roommate, meredith kircher. she was later acquitted. the jury was corrupted. it was impossible for me to have a fair trial. an attorney for the family calling her return to italy inappropriate and very painful. knox has been in the spotlight ever since she arrived earlier this week. cameras awaiting her at the airport in milan following her every move, prompting her to leave a panel early.

controversial figure in the court of public opinion, especially in italy but rather than hiding from the public eye, she wants to use her platform to try to help others. sheinelle. >> you see that video and it all comes back. sarah harmon, thank you. dylan is back with another check of the weather. what is it looking like? >> we are going to see a big pattern change as the jet stream lifts to the north and brings cool air with it allowing the warmer air to settle in a bit. we have an area of high pressure sitting off the coast of the carolinas, that will pump in the southeasterly winds and we will start to see things warm up. not a bad start in detroit, 63 degrees. des moines, 68. high temperatures will be close to average. boston, 81 degrees. raleigh, 84. still hanging in the 70s in pittsburgh and fargo. as we go into tomorrow, we will see more warmer air settle in across roanoke, 89 degrees for a

vianey arana has a look at your microclimate forecast. >> you can see that marine layer. look at this beautiful shot. as you head out this morning you'll notice the temperatures will be in the 50s. if you're going to be hanging out along the coastline expect to see those cooler temperatures. san jose only 58 degrees right now. if you're going to be heading further inland through the afternoon do expect a see a little bit of a warmup. notice that marine layer really hugging the coastline all the way from santa rosa down through santa cruz. so if you're driving out this morning you're definitely going to encounter that. again, we will eventually warm up comfortably, but we're going to stay into the 70s through south bay. any areas in the tri-valley will be at a very warm 80 degrees. but i think your ac is going to be
