is feeling relieved this morning. the navy s.e.a.l. has been aquit of multiple war crimes >> they look like -- yeah, freedom. >> gallagher was charged with the 2017 murder of a prisoner in iraq a military jury found him not guilty on all but one count. nbc's steve patterson has this report >> reporter: vindication for a navy s.e.a.l >> tears of joy. >> absolute joy. >> emotion absolute euphoria. >> reporter: the jury acquitting chief edward gallagher of six of the seven charges against him including premeditated murder. >> huge victory. huge weight off the gallaghers >> reporter: but finding him guilty for code of military justice ba humy the decorated s.e.a.l. was charged with an array of war crimes stemming from a 2017 tour of duty in iraq. the most serious, shooting an unarmed citizens and the murder of an unarmed isis detainee.

the president is hinting that this fight, though, it's hard from over. >> exactly you would think that the supreme court having made a decision and a decision to go ahead and print the census, that this would be a done deal. but take a look at this tweet from president trump the president saying that the decision by the supreme court is a very sad time for america and he ends that tweet by saying he's asked the commerce department and the department of justice to do whatever is necessary to bring this most vital of questions and this very important case to a successful conclusion, hinting that maybe they want to take some other legal action to try get that question on the census it has been a big states and the cities and the groups that have sued and won now three times in court swering the question because

all right. in today's top stories, one week after a california woman was killed in shark attacks in the bahamas authorities now say another attack has happened. this time in the u.s officials say a shark bit a teenager on the foot as he surfed on floor florida's atlantic coast the 18-year-old was paddling his surfboard at new smyrna beach when the attack happened he suffered minor puncture wounds and was treated at the scene. it's not the 4th of july without fireworks, right but officials warn that last year more than 9,000 americans were injured by explosions anybody's sarah dallof has some safety tips to keep your 4th of july lit >> reporter: as fireworks soar sky high around the 4th of july, so do injuries >> these device cans easily explode faster than anticipated. >> reporter: ahead of the holiday the consumer product safety commission demonstrated the power of fireworks, legal and illegal. according to the cpsc, in 2018
