juanice fourth of july parade. we'll talk mores and some events going on. how does it look on the roads? we have a bit of a situation with an overnight crash. possible dui. your highways are in the clear but if you are driving anywhere near this area, this is right between pretty much downy road and vista ridge. we do have downed power lines. possible dui as of right now, and for now it will be closed until about 11:00 a.m. we have video of the scene there. you can see police are on the scene. there goes the mangl area becaue the downe closely, and teta is expected to be closed until 11:00 a.m. we'll have another update for you coming up shortly. 4:31 right now. new overnight in the east bay, a

crash left two people dead. happened at 1:40 this morning in dublin. this is new video of the scene near the dublin bridge. the car crashed into a light pole that then caught on fire and both the driver and the passenger were killed. the cause of the crash is under investigation. also new this morning, the hit-and-run crash also under investigation this morning in the south bay. it happened shortly before midnight in north capital avenue in san jose. officers say the driver crashed into the back of a minivan driv. at least two tombstone now, at the mall. >> you next moment shoppers are

getting the upper hand on a brushfire burning near tracy and it's called the hollow fire and burning in the carnegie state vehicular recreational area.

started yesterday afternoon and there are no homes in the area, and about 300 acres are burned and 15% contained. an unorthodox plan to get rid of rodents, the refuge is 27 miles west of san francisco. the problem is that it's being overrun by nonnative mice, which eat native plant seed, and they feed on a rare bird. now they want to drop rat poison over the islands by a groups are concerned about this. >> the birds are going to get sick and when they die they will expose other animals that eat them to the rat poison. >> fish and wildlife have a plan to square off the birds and retrieve all of the dead mice

on this tpofourth of july, something to smile about as well as all the activities out there. >> as we take a live look outside in palo alto this morning, some of us still have to work, right? if you are up early and about to head out the door it starts out with mid-50s in palo alto and warming up at we're at 70 degrees and we are going to see more sunshine today. our forecast for the south bay, we will see highs in san jose reaching 78 degrees, very much like yesterday. 79 in gilroy. really nice weather for early july. we are going to heat up for the inland parts of the east bay, and concord today, up to 85 degrees and oakland today, expect a high of 70, and it stays cool. degrees, and daly city reaching 52. santa rosa, up to 84 degrees.

if you are headed out to milpitas, we are at 76 degrees at 5:00, and it's sunny and breezy and then cools down quickly. at 9:00, that's around the fireworks start, it will be mostly clear at about 63 degrees. i know we are all watching out for that fog near the coast. it does look like it will linger today. at 10:00 we are seeing fog in san francisco and in areas southward along the coast. our fourth of july outlook stays mostly clear for the inland areas and the coastal areas will also see the fog with our 7-day forecast heating up as we head into the weekend, upper 80s as temperatures peak on saturday. how are the roads looking this morning? >> this is what i am hoping for this morning, holiday light traffic so all the commuters that do have to get to work get to work with no issues and so far that has proven true. we have smooth commutes in the south bay, east bay, and peninsula and up to the north
