>> good monday morning great to be with you and great to be back with my partner phillip. >> yeah, i am so happy to be back been gone for like a week. can't wait to get right back into it. we begin this morning with a life-threatening flood putting millions at risk as tropical depression barry churns its way inland officials concerned the flash flooding could dump more than 20 inches of rain in louisiana and wash out six other states. the coast guard rescuing 12 people this weekend who are left stranded in flooded homes. nbc's dan scheneman reports. >> reporter: barry has been downgraded, but is still dangerous. >> much of the southern portion of the state is still experiencing heavy rainfall. and it could lead to flash flooding >> reporter: up to 6 inches of rain possible in some areas, in baton rouge, roads are flooded and creeks are overflowing >> the forecast has rain again all the way up the lower mississippi valley
