thursday morning savannah's off when craig and i saw each other this morning we were so excited and then when i said to craig, oh, my god, football season is starting. >> oh, yeah, that music we played there -- >> puts you in that spot. >> best time of the year get to that in a moment. let's start with that breaking news, the hurricane that just won't go away. the force of hurricane dorian being felt across the southeast once again this morning. >> check out the live images from charleston. the dangerous storm tracks along the south carolina coast we have complete coverage of this from what's happening right now to an extraordinary new look at the devastation in the bahamas. but we're going to begin our coverage with al roker >> we also have breaking news right now. besides hurricane dorian, we're always worried about tornadoes guess what we now have tornado watches and we also have tornado warnings going on, including flash flood warnings for charleston, myrtle beach.

we have tornado warnings up to wilmington and all the way down to the south carolina border this is going to be a very fluid situation. right now, still a category 3 storm. 80 miles south/southeast of charleston, south carolina, the eye of the storm 40 miles wide tropical force winds extend 195 miles. we have hurricane warnings from south carolina all the way up to the north carolina and virginia border tropical storm warnings as well. look up. up in new england there are tropical storm watches right now. we're going to watch this thing as it makes its way along the coast. here we go, tracking dorian. here are the effects category 3 storm, charleston, today you're going to be looking at winds up to 75 miles per hour, storm surge four to seven feet, five to nine inches of rain myrtle beach, 85-mile-per-hour winds, storm surge of five to ten feet ten inches of rain

tomorrow and friday for wilmington, up to 95-mile-per-hour winds, four to seven foot storm surge rain 8 to 12 inches. then it rockets off. look what happen late friday and saturday the northeast is in play, strong winds, long island, cape cod, 35 to 55 miles per hour, periods of heavy rain and coastal flooding. as far as the rainfall is concerned we're talking about anywhere from five to ten inches of rain but isolated amounts up to 15 inches the storm surge potential stretching from charleston all the way to virginia beach. high tides this afternoon starting around 1:00 to 2:30 this afternoon and power outages are going to be a big, big problem from savannah always way to salisbury, maryland. let's go to kathy park it looks rough out there. >> reporter: yeah, we are feeling the wrath of dorian at this hour.

we've been pounded by these intense wind gusts, heavy rain bands. it's not letting up. right now flash flooding is a major concern and more than 100,000 people are without power. overnight hurricane dorian intensified into a category 3 major hurricane once again, barrelling up the coast of georgia, north carolina and south carolina, getting closer to making landfall in historic charleston storm surge flooding and huge power flashes from high winds. damaging power lines, and expected to dump between 15 to 20 inches of rain. >> we're kind of in the thick of the storm right now but i'm so proud of our citizens. they're mostly staying inside and staying put and they need to continue to do so until this storm passes. >> reporter: after devastating the bahamas dorian gradually tapering off the florida coast outer rain bands now pushing farther into the coast of the carolinas causing flooding that will only worsen, threatening homes, businesses and beaches.

now, high tide is supposed to come into charleston around 2:00 this afternoon but the rain is supposed to continue for several more hours so the situation could get a lot worse. and al, i've been covering this storm for over a week now. as you can see dorian isn't backing down al >> and you've got a few more hours of that, so kathy, you and your crew stay safe. we're going to continue to track this all morning long. hoda >> al, now we'll take an eye opening look at dorian's devastation in the bahamas nbc's kerry sanders among the first allowed to travel there since the storm hit. the road as they carried out this rescue mission. hey, kerry, good morning. >> reporter: the choppers you see will be airborne again this morning, day three of the search and rescues. the u.s. customs here with its air operations heading to the worst hit areas. we're in homestead, florida, a 45 minute flight from here to ground zero. and that is great abaco and

grand bahama. >> we need help. we need help >> reporter: amid so much misery this morning there are also signs of hope. for thousands at their breaking point that help has finally arrived. many have been stranded on abaco and grand bahama for days with no food, no water and no shelter with half of the homes on their islands destroyed by dorian. we joined u.s. customs and border protection air and marine operations on a search and rescue mission for some survivors on the outer reaches of abaco island this was their first outside contact since dorian hit. >> that's where i was. >> reporter: jim bell remarkably survived, trapped under the debris of a collapsed home while the storm raged and the water rose around him. did you think you'd be here after this >> no, i thought i was going to die. >> reporter: his neighbor steve harris who rode out the storm in the dark with his family did not know how big a storm they

survived until i told them. >> it felt like hell. >> 8-year-old sophie. >> it was terrible. >> and her 11-year-old sister samantha. >> it was scary, but i'm glad we're still alive and we're safe. >> reporter: she called this the bomb shelter, where she rode it out with her family and neighbors. a category 5, because of the poured concrete walls and a swimming pool that's above us they were able to survive. >> some of those who survived the storms won't leave the island the water deliveries, a god send. >> it's good because you're here, you can help, it's rough to see people in this situation. >> reporter: the u.s. coast guard also playing a critical role, flying dozens of victims to safety. overnight bahamas prime minister grateful for the international aid. >> i want to assure you that more help is on the way.

>> reporter: bahamians also pitching in as much as they can. a first step on what will be a very long road to recovery. >> we're happy to be alive glad that my family is safe and, you know, we can rebuild we will rebuild. >> kerry, it's hard to look at that widespread devastation. when the survivors are rescued, where do they go >> reporter: right now they're picking them up and there's a staging area on the far end of the airport in nassau, which was not hit by the hurricane where they can get immediate medical care many people are bruised by flying debris but most everybody shares one problem and that's dehydration. they're being treated there. remember, of course, this is a foreign country. while there are some americans who split their time between living there and living here they cannot come directly back

here because they have to deal with immigration issues. clearly, this is a desperate need, craig, and there are still areas that these folks here will head out again today too where there has been no human contact since the hurricane, which of course can be even that much more difficult for people who just want to say i'm alive and nobody even knows i am guys >> it's good to see the helpers who have made their way there. kerry sanders, thank you for that. now to a controversy tied to the hurricane, out of the white house. the issue, a map of the storm's path held by president trump that was seemingly altered nbc's peter alexander joins us with more on that. peter, good morning. >> craig, good morning to you. after facing criticism over the weekend that warning that hurricane dorian could strike the state of alabama president trump and the oval office as you showed held up this altered map from a week ago to defend his argument the map included an extension, see it there on the left drawn in black sharpie to the national hurricane center's actual forecast. see the difference between the two? the president later denied any knowledge of how that black marker got there on sunday president trump warned that alabama was among the

states "will most likely be hit much harder than anticipated," the national weather service corrected him on twitter saying alabama will not see any impacts from dorian. it's against the law to knowingly issue or publish a false weather forecast. rather than acknowledge any mistake, late wednesday the president insisted alabama was in an earlier forecast. when he made the comments on sunday alabama was not in any danger. craig and hoda? >> peter alexander from the white house this morning, peter, thank you. meantime, there's a new controversy this morning involving one of the nation's biggest tech companies and your personal data. the government is slapping a multimillion fine on youtube for violating a federal law concerning children's privacy. tom costello is in washington with the latest on this story. >> $170 million fine, the

largest fine the government has ever imposed on google. it's part of the federal trade commission which accuses youtube of mishandling personal information that's collected from children online without their parent's consent ♪ if you call and make a mess say sorry ♪ >> reporter: if you're a parent of young kids this may be familiar. hours and hours of children's videos from cartoons to sing alongs all streaming on youtube. this morning the video giant and its parent company google have agreed to pay a $170 million fine to the federal trade commission and new york state. to settle allegations that youtube illegally collected personal data from children, essentially what they're watching and their likely age, without their parent's consent. then used that data to make millions of dollars through targeted ads. federal law protects children under 13 requiring parental consent before companies can collect and share their personal information. while youtube's terms of service say the site is not intended for children under 13, the ftc's complaint says google marketed

youtube as a top destination for children, telling toy company hasbro that youtube is the number one website regularly visited by kids. in a statement youtube says nothing is more important than protecting kids and their privacy. adding that while the site is designed for users over 13, with a boom in family content and the rise of shared guice -- devices, the likelihood of children watching without supervision has increased. under the settlement the company has agreed to work with video creators to clearly label material aimed at kids and it must get verifiable parental consent before collecting or using kids' personal data. it will also limit data collection when users of any age watch children's videos, something youtube already does on its separate site for children, youtube kids. >> the ftc got after it. it's very important. i think privacy is, for little children especially, extremely

important. >> reporter: one watchdog group is blasting the settlement as nothing more than a slap on the wrist for a company as large as google. a top ftc official disputes that. >> i do think this is a stiff penalty that sends a strong message. >> reporter: google is not the only one under fire. back in july the ftc slapped facebook with a record setting $5 billion fine as part of a settlement over the company's privacy policies and a top senate democrat ron wyden of oregon insists that mark zuckerberg should be held personally accountable, recently telling an oregon paper he thinks zuckerberg should face the possibility of a prison term for lying to americans about facebook's privacy lapses. guys, back to you. >> tom costello in d.c., thanks. we have an update on that serious car accident involving comedian kevin hart as the star ntinueto recover from his injuries.

nbc national correspondent miguel almaguer has the latest. >> reporter: 911 calls released by police are shedding new light on that crash. they were made by a bystander at the scene and a woman believed to be kevin hart's wife. >> reporter: this morning, four days after the accident, police sources familiar with the matter tell nbc news the investigation remains ongoing after a late night ride involving one of hollywood's biggest stars. >> he was in a car accident earlier tonight or what happened? >> yes. earlier tonight. i don't know what happened. he's not coherent at all. >> reporter: hours after the crash, a woman identifying herself as kevin's wife called 911. >> did he get treatment, go to the hospital? >> reporter: no, no. no treatment at all. we're just here. he can't move. >> is the any obvious broken bones? anything broken?

>> something on his back is pulling out on his spine. >> reporter: that initial back and forth at the scene of the crash. moments after kevin hart's muscle car careened off an l.a. road. the caller described the scene early sunday morning. now there is confusion about who was driving. >> sounds like the passenger is stuck in the car. the driver is out of the car. he looks a little hurt. i think the top of the car. >> the bystander said he saw the driver get out of the car but jared black was in the driver's seat when crews arrived and black's fiancee, a fitness trainer, was also unable to get out of the car. >> how many people are stuck inside? >> just one lady, i think. the driver is out. they are trying to get the passenger out.

>> reporter: the reports seeming to conflict and raising new questions. in the call, an unidentified male voice can be heard in the background. police didn't say any of the passengers were taken to the hospital, indicating only hart left the scene to his nearby resident to get medical attention. the initial police report saying alcohol was not a factor in the crash. hart is expected to make a full recovery after undergoing back surgery. >> hart's recovery is conflicting with his professional schedule already. he was slated to be the first guest on kelly clarkson's new daytime talk show but was replaced at the last minute by his friend and often costar dwayne "the rock" johnson. back to you. >> miguel, thanks. mr. roker, you're back with a check of the weather. >> that's right, see what else is going on around the country as we look, hot and humid weather from texas on into the midplains, strong storms coming across the northern mississippi

good morning. 7:26. i am marcus washington. all lanes of interstate 80 headed towards the bay bridge are still closed in san pablo after a truck full of chickens struck an overpass. bob redell is live. >> reporter: i just spoke with the chp sergeant and they still do not have an estimated time of reopening. they are trying to get the chickens offloaded to animal control, and they are in the eastbound lane, and northeast had about five or six chickens in the road causing problems. some of the chickens were run over and others were captured. this big rig carrying all the

chickens hit the overpass and swerved into traffic and caught fire. the driver of the big rig and the other car involved in the fire are okay. about 1,000 chickens on the truck, and among them some killed and some are still suffering and some were saved. and caltrans and chp have been wrangling the chickens and trying to get it re-open. reporting live in richmond, bob redell, nbc bay area news. >> and folks have been forced off and then back on on the san pablo dam road. the rest of the bay operating smoothly, but caltrans has trains halted because of what appears to be a person was killed on the tracks. we will see clearing and

good morning to you guys the situation definitely isn't getting any better out here. we continue to get blasted by these heavy rain showers, intense wind gusts and the situation on the ground is looking like this, flash flooding is being reported throughout the charleston area, we're also told of widespread power outages. more than 100,000 people throughout the state of south carolina in the dark right now and here we go, you're seeing -- and i'm actually feeling one of these intense wind gusts right now. we're told the situation is likely only expected to get worse in the 2:00 hour with high tides. guys, the situation is deteriorating. we're told officials are warning people to stay indoors but cars are zipping through here if you don't have to be outdoors, please stay indoors, guys, back to you. >> kathy park, thank you. we'll check in with al for the latest on where that storm is headed in just a bit. a high profile case that ignited outrage in 2016 is bac in the headlines the woman sexually assaulted by a then stanford university swimmer is now stepping forward for the first time joe fryer joins us with her story. joe, good morning. >> hoda, good morning.

typically sexual assault victims of course remain anonymous and for years that was the case for chanel miller. no one knew her name what they did know is that she read a powerful statement in court when her attacker was sentenced. now miller is choosing to go public, revealing her name and sharing her story with a new book in court she was known only as emily doe. but now chanel miller wants people to see her face and hear her story. >> you cannot give me -- you cannot give me back the life i had. >> reporter: in an upcoming interview with "60 minutes," she recites part of the emotional impact statement she read in court. >> in newspapers my name was unconscious, intoxicated woman, ten syllables and nothing more than that. i had to force myself to relearn my real name, my identity. >> reporter: she also wrote a memoir entitled "know my name," which comes out later this month recounting her journey since she

was sexually assaulted in 2015 outside a fraternity party brock turner was convicted on three counts of felony sexual assault. the maximum sentence was 14 years. but he was sentenced to just six months in county jail, and only served three of those months the judge, aaron persky said a longer sentence would have had quote a severe impact on turner. >> three months is not enough! >> reporter: that sparked an outcry judge persky was later recalled by california voters, the first time that's happened in more than 80 years while miller's victim statement, which was published by buzzfeed became a call to action for lawmakers and activists. it was even read aloud on the floor of the house of representatives. >> to girls everywhere i am with you. on nights when you feel alone, i am with you. when people doubt you or dismiss you, i am with you >> reporter: brock turner is now a registered sex offender living with family in ohio.

>> good to see both of you many might know this country locks up more people than any place on earth there's growing bipartisan consensus it's not making us any safer. i spent several years covering criminal justice stories from the outside looking in this time i went to ground zero where mass incarceration to explore many of these issues, this time from the inside. this cell block is usually reserved for high risk offenders. no other area at this prison is more secure, which is why it's also housing a high profile guest. i spent three days, two nights at the louisiana state penitentiary, better known as angola not to play prisoner but to get a deeper understanding of this uniquely american crisis mass incarceration. >> as journalists we know that to get to the heart of something you have to get inside it. the men behind these bars are

locked in 23 hours a day, like convicted murderer sentenceda here to life he told me he's tried to escape. how far did you get? >> not very. >> at the crack of dawn each morning i set out to join the rest of angola, riding alongside prisoners, talking with correction officers. i also sat down with seth smith, director of operations from louisiana's prison system who says the current system is broken. >> it's not giving us the results that we want it's costing a lot of money. >> you say it's about rehabilitation, but a lot of americans think it is about punishment this should be hell. >> sure. you know, they've done some

awful things but it's just punishment we can make somebody worse. >> the power of rehabilitation was on the mind of nearly every prisoner i spoke to, especially with these men who are known as juvenile lifers. they committed their crimes before they were 18, and were sentenced to life without parole. >> i was 16 years old when i committed my crime. >> i was 17 years old. >> most of them are here for murder, but they say they are changed men. >> we were children when we got incarcerated. >> but the u.s. supreme court ruled in 2012 that mandatory life without parole sentences for juveniles are unconstitutional

so today they all have a chance at parole. >> when we do get the opportunity to show that we are different the people will be able to see. >> reporter: back in the solitude of my cell i would reflect on the day i personally wrestled with this question of is prison punishment, a place of reform, it's all very complicated. we often think of prisons in the abstract, criminals are sent here and that's the end of their story. it's not, of course. knowing that each of their stories continues behind and beyond these walls, maybe that's the key in helping us solve this american crisis. >> that was fascinating, my friend how did the idea, how did this idea even come about >> i've worked with a team of folks on criminal justice stories in the past and we knew that we wanted to kind of amp this up and one of our producers who's been passionate about this came by my office one day and said what if we put you in a maximum security prison and i laughed and realized that guy is actually serious as we thought it through, what a different way to take a look at this problem people are talking about criminal justice reform right now, the conversation, this is the time to have it. >> what struck me is the guy in the story -- the official who said it's broken and he's like on the inside, which i thought was fascinating.

this morning on this morning on "today's" talker, new developments on an important and disturbing story we've been covering, alleged sexual assault and harassment of passengers by lyft drivers. >> 14 women have filed a lawsuit against the ride share giant and many more may join the case. >> this follows an investigation we did some weeks ago about sexual harassment by lyft drivers. but this new lawsuit includes far more serious and disturbing allegations, including claims that lyft conceals sexual assault from the public and does not give information about accused predators to police unless ordered to by a court. >> he tried to force kiss me and

i pushed him off kind of hard and a couple of times. >> reporter: in october of 2018 gladys says her lyft driver in los angeles high on drugs and bragging about previous sexual assaults took her phone away and kept her trapped in his car for hours. >> he took me to a really dark beach that i'm not aware of, i don't know where i was the whole time i was terrified. he sexually assaulted me. >> less than two months later kim says a lyft driver attacked her in salt lake city. >> he reached over, tried to grab me, did grab me around my neck forcefully tried to kiss me. >> reporter: the women who asked that we only use their first names are among 14 suing lyft, sharing accounts of alleged sexual assault and rape, including a 23-year-old in north carolina who says a lyft driver named sam raped her, stole her things and then logged into her account and added a $25 tip after he raped her

attorneys say the legal action may be joined as many as 1,000 potential victims. lyft responded what the victims are describing is terrifying it has no place in our community. we held ourselves to a hher standard to keep out bad actors, make riders and drivers feel safe and react quickly if and when an incident does occur. but the women and their attorneys say lyft conceals sexual assault claims from the public and from investigators. >> lyft requires police officers to get a subpoena, to get court orders to get basic information. >> reporter: lyft's website says it discloses data to law enforcement when required by law. the suit claims lyft's mobile app is negligent and encourages young women who are intoxicated to use it. it also claims drivers openly discuss and brag about the access they have to women. kim's assailant pleaded guilty to a charge of misdemeanor battery. gladys went to police but the driver she says raped her was not charged. both say the company should do

more to protect them. >> i want them to take responsibility for what their app and their company has done and put many women through >> reporter: lyft says it has begun rolling out an in app emergency button for riders and in safety related incidents lyft may put the involved driver's account on hold, but the question is that enough? >> besides the monetary compensation what else if anything are these women asking for lyft to do >> they're asking for a long list, including things like -- they want lyft to be subject to mandatory reporting in the cases of sexual assault. so if there's any kind of sexual assault claimed they should have to go to the police. and they say the driver involved should not be allowed to work while that investigation is under way. they also want lyft to provide some sort of means of recording audio and video of each ride that there should be some sort of notification that goes to you or i if our driver veers off course and if the driver turns off the app mid-drive, as seems to have

a very good morning to you. it is 8:26. i'm laura garcia. breaking news we continue to follow this thursday, all westbound lanes of interstate 80 headed toward the bay bridge still closed in san pablo after a truck full of chickens struck an overpass. bob redell is there live with the very latest. >> reporter: and that big rig of course catching fire, killing many of the chickens. the news is not good as far as the estimated time of reopening, laura. chp says the problem is they're trying to treat these surviving chickens as humanely as possible and it's just taking time, off loading them off the big rig. the other issue is animal control realizes they now need to get another box truck down

here from martinez so they can off load the surviving chickens, the crash happening around 3:30 this morning, the big reason swerving into the san pablo road overpass, jack knifed, hit another car. the driver of both the big rig and that car okay but the big rig did catch fire. we just found out that the caltrans engineer determined the overpass is safe. for more on traffic we'll send it over to mike inouye. >> good news. it means they can reopen after they clear everything. san pablo avenue, one of your relief valves. that is very crowded as well. coming off the bridge, jammed from highway 4. the rest of the bay moving smoothly.

>> reporter: he says they've cracked the loch ness code, for almost a century loch ness has been the setting for one of the world's greatest mysteries thousands of people claim to have seen -- >> a hump come out of the water. >> a torpedo going through the water. >> reporter: and filmed an unknown creature in loch ness. last year we followed the professor and his team as they began their investigation to discover just what does live there. >> the water contains an abundance of life. >> reporter: they extracted samples of water from all over the loch, collecting dna, all living creatures in the loch will leave a trace. >> perhaps there's something mysterious in there too. >> reporter: for decades many researchers believed the monster might be a jurassic reptile. >> there doesn't seem to be any of that dna in the loch ness. >> world's greatest mystery.

>> reporter: a two hour travel special follows the quest in his laboratory at the university of otago in new zealand, analyzing millions of dna sequences and producing a complete picture of everything that lives in the loch. ♪ i'm the monster of loch ness >> it charts the incredible history for the hunt for the monster. >> dan scott taylor went down there, and he said it bumped into his submarine. >> the fakers who fooled the world. >> the footprints were made with the cast of a left foot of a hippopotamus. >> reporter: so if there is a huge creature in lochness and it's not a dinosaur, what could it be? the talk of stalking loch ness, big animals, 12, 16 foot in length. they could be a monster. >> reporter: only problem is -- >> we haven't got any evidence at all of cat fish dna in our samples. >> reporter: but the professor says there's one possible

candidate. >> an awful lot of eel dna in loch ness. could there be a giant eel there are mutations that make things much larger than normal >> reporter: could this be nessie case closed? well, not quite. the professor says 20% of his dna samples are still unencoded and he's put that information online so people can reach their own conclusions. now, according to legend there have been sightings of something strange in loch ness for over a thousand years so with that 20% of undeciphered dna, that leaves some wiggle room guys, we still can't be sure there isn't something strange in those waters. >> okay. kelly, thank you looks like the mystery continues. >> my money's on giant eel. >> giant eel >> really? >> we've been talking about this since we were kids, the loch ness monster, it's kind of fun

and taught greats like venus and serena williams. arthur ashe and leslie allen today at the age of 99 bob ryland is still coaching and shows no signs of slowing down you're the most active 99-year-old man i've ever met. >> i don't know about that. >> i'd say so. i would not have guessed you're 99. >> yeah. >> what's the secret >> you've got to keep fighting >> reporter: and fight he did. in a time when white and black athletes were not allowed to compete in the same tournaments bob created his own path to success and climbed to the top of the sport what was the difference between being a black tennis player and a white tennis player? >> well, a white tennis player got more help than a black tennis player. it was tough back in those days. >> reporter: what made it so tough?

>> because of segregation, you know it was bad >> reporter: all that changed in 1956 when althea broke color barriers, becoming the first african-american athlete to win a grand slam two years later bob ryland made his own -- first black tennis player to play professionally. but he stopped short of national recognition. does it bother you at all that history doesn't seem to remember your story >> well, see, you don't look at that you can't fight it who we going to fight? i had to make my own break >> reporter: the impact of his legacy is evident today. though he no longer plays, bob

teaches kids the love of the sport. >> i think that it's really fun that he got to change the rules and now all people get to play tennis. >> how much longer are you going to come out here and teach these kids >> i don't know. i think 100, i don't think i can make it. >> reporter: what do you tell some of these young tennis players? >> i tell them, look, this is your family, your coach, study hard, play hard, eat the right food, and then do the right things you'll make it >> reporter: simple advice from an athlete who came up during not so simple times but whose success is owed to ambition, determination and it seems a dash of humility how do you want people to remember you >> as a good tennis player, that's all. >> reporter: just a pretty good tennis player? >> right. >> his advice is great, not just for tennis players, but for everybody.

>> i like our "d." >> everyone when you think chicago, most people think deep dish pizza. >> we're going to bring it what we have here is some really fun kind of italian tailgating dishes i've taken the hot dog to the next level with bolo dogs. >> bolo dogs >> that's bolognese ragu, like a chili dog. you're going to chop the celery, and then i have some bacon going here you're going to add your onion and celery and carrot. it's always nice to get a little vegetables going in the ragu there. >> makes you feel less guilty. >> i agree so give that a nice stir i'm using pork and beef here but you can -- >> oh, and beef. >> you could use any kind of meat, all beef, all pork vegetarian if you like building flavors, traditional ragu has a little milk at the end. that's the secret.

what a tough drag. all lanes closed, traffic forced off and then allowed back on to the freeway. we have slowing also on san pablo avenue and there may be a shift in traffic over toward the bridge as we see more traffic on 680 in down toward walnut creek. westbound 80, here's bob redell with the crash scene. >> reporter: as you can see behind me, mike, the chickens have been off loaded off the big rig that caught fire around 3:35 this morning. that's a huge amount of progress. there is still no estimated time of when westbound 80 here at san pablo will be reopened. the issue is getting all of the oil and gasoline removed from the road and of course the big rig itself. we could be talking at least another hour if not longer. reporting live in san pablo, bob redell, nbc bay area. geico makes it easy to get help when i need it.
