san jose. 80 in morgan hill. it's going to be slightly cool er than what we're used to. we'll talk about what's ahead. it's a different start for the trivalley. only a little bit of slowing, which is not a big deal. we have a little blip in both directions. a nice drive as well out of the area. but note between bethel island and okayly, there's a car fire reported. >> just a few hours, president trump will arrive in the bay area for a fundraiser. >> bob redell is live for us

where air force one will land later this morning. the president has been here before, but what makes this visit so significant? >> reporter: staff is not getting his exact location. the white house is staying vague in order to throw off protesters. this is what happened last time trump visited the bay area during the 2016 campaign rally. hundreds of people protested. actually delayed his arrival. this is video from yesterday. they are gearing up and testing out the inflatable trump chicken. protesters have been looking on the peninsula. >> we will not forgive and

latest on the presidential candidates. new overnight, investigating a deadly accident on highway 92. that's where someone walking along the roadway was struck and killed. it happened before midnight not far near construction closure. authorities say the victim died at the scene and the driver is cooperating with investigators. it's not clear why the person was walking on the highway. >> in san jose, people in one neighborhood say car crashes are becoming an all too common thing. the area in question is along khouw avenue. they are demanding action. >> i've lost several vehicles. >> on coat avenue, nearly every neighborhood has the story about the time someone crashed into one of their cars or yards. >> i have lost. >> reporter: susan's car was parked on the street and hit. she lost shrubs and trees around her home. some of the drivers were drunk.

family boatingen accident on the bay is up to prominent businessman. the family lives in a neighborhood where yesterday police search searched the home. the 11-year-old son died sunday after falling out of the family boat similar to the one in the photo. he was struck but a boat near angel island. the other son also fell in the water and was also hit by the boat. he suffered leg injuries. authorities not only believe he was bin wheel, but he was operating it while intoxicated. >> this was an unusual, horrifying tragedy. we have a duty we're sworn to enforce the law. and that's what we did, as painful as that sometimes is. >> he come from a wealthy family in mexico. he's a a developer who owns multiple restaurants and hotels. a followup on a cay yacht you can weekend fire in an adult store in san jose. this happened sunday night.

firefighters found the body of a man in the basement. investigators now believe this is the same man who showed up at the store, swinging the sledge hammer making threats and setting the place on fire. neighboring merchants say the store has been closed for weeks and the owner was upset he had been kicked out. >> i know he was vikted. but prior to that, he had a sign where he was expressing his discontent. >> firefighters have been release d from the hospital. a followup on a gas pipeline that's raising concerns among activists. the pipeline is located in a ravine near lafayette. the group showed us a photo of the pipe last week. now deputy fire chief is reportedly responding. he tells the east bay times he's concerned about the pipe in part because it's located in what he calls a high fire hazard zone.

they i insist the pipe is safe. there's no cause for concern. >> leaders asking supervisors to keep the library open until a new one. >> they passed a resolution supporting the plan asking supervisors to hold off on demolishing the current library. twopers would build three dozen new homes and a park and it's a a plan neighbors support. the new library won't be ready for two years. >> it's the most heavily populated library in the county. we have people acrosses street. the final say will rest with supervisors. coming up next on today in the bay, if you're looking to get a raise in the next year, there's some good news. what a a new report could signal

as we start out, we'll have slightly lower than normal highs today. reaching up to 80 in morgan hill. for the east bay we have low 80s. and 75 at hayward. we'll also see a high of 75 in reddwood city, san francisco in the upper 60s. for the north bay we're up to 81 in napa. so as we're starting out this morning, clear skies, cool temperatures, you'll be comfortable throughout the day with some light long sleeves and grab the sneakers. you'll want to spend extra time and go for a walk in the park. as we look at what's happening now, we're not seeing any rain, but there's a storm system that's farther to the north that will be moving up to the east.

by friday we're up to 84 degrees. and it will heat up for the weekend. with some upper 80s and 90s. you're already tracking a couple new crashes. >> it's probably just one or two trucks moving along the bay frontage expressway. it's eastbound 84 just off of the dunbar bridge. there's an impact half way between 580. we have a crash around the windmill farms.

so there's some slowing that shows up already heading in toward byron. it's koupt commute, but it will beistraction so we'll follow that and have that r clearing pretty quickly. in toward the bay bridge. there's no problem and light volume starting to build for the cash lanes on either side. we still have one of the cash lanes to the left. >> 4:50 right now. a high speed police pursuit ends in gunfire. we should warn you this video could be disturbing. take a look at this chopper vis video. it showed the chase. when police responded to a hit-and-run. the mini van at times traveled at speeds topping 100 miles per hour. police eventually fired at that man and that's when officers surrounded the vehicle and they removed the suspect. he was shot several times, but

good morning to you on this tuesday. taking a live look for you at the san mateo bridge. you can see a few cars there on the road. it's getting ready for the day. we'll be ready to get you started. 4:55 for you right now. nbc bay area responds to a san francisco woman who won money playing an online video game. she turned to chris and the team for help. >> good morning, this is about hq trivia. that's an app that streams live trivia game shows and posts pictures of people who it says have won jackpots. some of them six figures. michelle washerman won a lot less. $31.01. but when she is went to cash out her $31.01, nothing happened. except an error message that

said cash out currently disabled. that went on for eight months. so she contacted us. we reached out to hq trivia. overnight michelle got her prize. hq trivia told us unfortunately, she was mistakenly flagged but our fraud system because her play history matched similar suspect patterns. we searched online to see if anyone else was having trouble getting paid, our team found several complaints. they claimed the $20,000 payout was delayed several weeks. we asked hq trivia what happened, but it didn't get back to us. >> president trump yesterday awarding yankees legend mariano rivera the presidential medal of
