artillery firing near a u.s. base, which almost actually struck the u.s. base that, obviously, would have created a massive international incident because, of course, turkey is a nato ally. turkey has also taken control of the highway, the main artery from east syria to west syria. that's actually really constricting the movement for the u.s. troops, which is one of the reasons why they're feeding a hasty withdrawal out of northern syria this is the main corridor by which the u.s. supplies its troops in northern syria we're also seeing the humanitarian crisis, refugees facing off at the border in iraq, trying to get into iraqi territory. >> matt bradley, thank you. it is a holiday on capitol hill, but there is no break for the house impeachment inquiry
