>> over the years i have spent a lot of time in prison telling stories, never have i had such a delightful and uplifting experience in prison as i did on this one thanks to a program bringing together those on two legs and on four. deep inside a maximum security prison for women, just north of new york city, a sound you might not expect that's right well, the doghousee big house. meet mcdonald, a 2-year-old pup beasley is serving ten years for assault. training with donald, taking care of him, feeling his love, she says is helping her trust people again. >> has mcdonald changed doing time, what that means to you >> yeah, he has. he let me feel again >> but in a way what you're describing is raising a dog to be a therapy dog is therapy in itself.
