as "today in the bay's" cheryl hurd reports, protesters with an unexpected move. >> reporter: oakland school board meeting packed with people protesting school closures. and they came to express anger over what happened at the board meeting last month. on october 23rd parents and teachers angry over the district plans to close and merge a number of schools because of the declining enrollment got into a clash after a protester jumped over a barricade. >> your cops took me to the hospital strapped to a gurney i. >> we've never had it like this where the police have been used against us here. >> there will be an outside investigators coming in to look at what happight of october 23rd to fully analyzewr

responsible. >> reporter: as protesters took over the room, school board members feeling there was no order took the meeting upstairs leaving some parents wondering about their children's future with the district. >> as a whole there's a complete disregard for these children and the effect these types of changes have on them. >> reporter: cheryl hurd, "today in the bay." bystanders rushed to help two people involved in a roll over crash in san mateo. this happened shortly after 1:30 this morning on 4th and idaho streets near highway 101. this is new video in our newsroom. police say one of the two victims has life threatening injuries. >> and then i heard a bang and went inside to get my shoes on. when i came back out he was

already here. >> i called 911 before i got out of the car. and then when i got out of the car to see if anybody was hurt or if everybody was okay, i saw the woman pinned underneath the car. the window on the ground. >> officers believe alcohol may have played a role in the crash. we don't know the condition of the other victim. today there's a break in hearings that resumes again tomorrow. >> first round yesterday started with democrats and republicans sparring over whether the president violated trust. bill taylor testified that trump froze critical aid to ukraine, then tried to pressure its president to investigate joe biden and his son and talked about a staff member overhearing a phone call between the president and his hand-picked eu ambassador gordon sondland. >> a member of my staff asked

that shooting happened last week near la jolla drive. a 17-year-old girl died and a boy was shot and injured. the victims drove themselves to the hospital. authorities say a 16-year-old brentwood boy is under arrest in addition to a 16-year-old suspect arrested last week. investigators say the shooting is tied to a drug deal. 4:36 and developing for you this morning new concerns about drug dealing and drug use on federal property in san francisco. people who live near the federal building at 7th and mission say they are terrified. san francisco supervisor matt oth the city and federal government a letter demanding action. police are now trying to clear some people from that area. there are fears the problems are being pushed to the other part of some areas of the same neighborhood. >> they're arrested them but they arrest one and two more come the next day. it really is not something solvable just by police.

low 60s but that's the best we'll do today reaching 64 degrees in downtown san jose. we're looking at cooler air today as a cold front moves through and one of the warmest spots will be antioch and danville. look at half moon bay. palo alto reaching 65 and some upper 50s in san francisco today. high temperatures reach into the low 60s with santa rosa today reaching 61. it will be warmer today in ukiah reaching 69 degrees there. as we take a live look, it is cooler, time to break out the winter gear. if you are just waiting for a day to wear your boots, today may be the day. this is what we have coming our way. warmer temperatures for the weekend and there will still be some rain moving across the pacific northwest but we'll have an area of low pressure and a

storm system dropping in early next week could bring in a slight chance of rain but it does look like our best chance of rain to our south and something to watch in the forecast going into next week. we have upper 60s today and tomorrow with some breezy winds and then we're back in the mid-70s for the weekend. we'll see those temperatures into early next week. mike, you were looking for some brake lights. >> i did find some north of brsh and up to whipple. full traffic break but i haven't seen that. no full closures there. there is a special entry in the report for northbound 101 at whipple for overnight. issues there. we don't have any construction scheduled. things are sorted out for now. we're still at the speed limit heading down to 580.
