it's friday, november 15 "early today" starts right now good morning i'm phillip mena >> and i'm frances rivera. we begin with breaking news. a vigil was held just hours ago in santa clarita, california the community coming together after a school shooting that left two teenagers dead and three others wounded police say a 16-year-old gunman opened fire on his classmates before turning the gun on himself. the entire terrifying ordeal lasted just 16 seconds, just before students were supposed to begin their classes. for more on the investigation, here's nbc's miguel almaguer >> reporter: just as the school day began in santa clarita, california -- >> multiple shots fired. >> reporter: gunfire erupted at saugus high school >> we need all units to respond. >> reporter: police and paramedics swarming campus as students raced to safety under the cover of heal never forget,s were looking behind and fearing for their lives. >> reporter: the first shots
