to 25 to 35 miles per hour, and then we'll be tracking that approaching storm that will be coming in tomorrow after seeing those high temperatures in the mid-60s today. so we'll get a look at all of that in the forecast coming up and mike, there may be a truck stuck on the bay bridge. >> that's why we're looking at the emeryville camera turned toward the span, mid span you see san francisco and the lights in the distance. i don't see any of these lights stopping or bunching up but there have been more. the volume seems to be increasing. we'll check around treasure island, reports of a right lane blocked by a garbage truck. no major up dates so we'll follow with chp and a warning about the bay bridge a crash clears from san jose. back to you. breaking news in london, where transit leaders are refusing to renew uber's license to operate, citing several instances that place passengers' safety at risk after a report

revealed 14,000 trips involving unauthorized drivers. uber is vowing to fight the decision, calling it "extraordinary and wrong." the company has 21 days to appeal. in the mean tim, it can continue operating while the appeals process is under way. new for you from overnight oakland police arrested protesters and homeless people in front of city hall. "today in the bay's" sharon katsuda is live in oakland to show us how police moved in and car rid out some people. sharon? >> reporter: yes, marcus. the protesters knew they might be arrested by police, so some locked themselves inside of the tents at the park in front of the oakland city hall. can see from the video around midnight police moved in and carried people out. doing enough for the homeless community. officers came back to clear out protesters after the media left. >> right on schedule, the police come at 10:00 and what they do at 10:00, they say oh, you are

past the park hours, you can't have any structures up and they come in with police force and tear things down. and that's exactly what just happened. it happens every time that you know, folks and activists and other folks, supporters and allies come together to try to address an issue here in oakland in front of the city hall. we get like pushback or police repression. it's nothing new. no change ever comes. >> reporter: the people here who say they are forced to live on the streets belieprotest in frot night was that housing is a human right. of course, later today we hope to hear comments from the city. reporting live in oakland, i'm sharon katsuda, >> 4:33. an even community is in mourning after someone shot >> bob

redell live outside the union police department. i understand those victims are young, just 11 and 14 years old. >> reporter: unfortunately that's very young. union city police have not yet made any arrests. investigators are looking into whether the shooting was possibly gang related and possibly related to another double shooting that took place this past wednesday about a half mile away from where the two boys were murdered. on saturday night sean and kevin were sitting in a van in a parking lot at sorel's elementary school when someone opened fire on them. i don't know if you can see the yellow parkers put down by police but they give you a sense of the number of shell casings left at the scene and how many shots were fired. last night, the community gathered at the school to remember the two children and hear from the aunt of one of the boys. >> our hearts continue to grieve for final

stop. we continue to love them and miss them and feel the pain and sorrow in our hearts for them. >> reporter: a school counsellor tells us both boys had at one point attended sorel's elementary with one just graduated there. she described them as sweet kids. reporting live here outside the union city police department, bob redell, "today in the bay." >> thank you, bob. 4:35 for you right now. st. mary's college students concerned about their day-to-day safety plan to communicate their concerns later today. it comes in the wake of recent situations where students believe the school did not do enough to keep them safe and in the loop. one situationnclude a perceived threat of violence that turned out to be harmless, another was an overnight grass fire. firefighters knocked down in time. students launched a petition calling for changes and also planning to hold a sit-in today at noon. the search is still on for someone this morning who's

good morning. i'm rah shell solomon at cnbc headquarters. here are today's top business headlines. wall street is poised to open higher this morning. the stocks rose friday but the markets were down overall for the week, breaking a four-week winning streak and trade continues to be a focus today. a chinese newspaper is saying the u.s. and china are close to phase one of the trade deal.

happening today, veterinarians from the marine mammal center in sausalito are expected to make sure thisuy is doing just fine. 5-month-old seal pup nicknamed santos, firefighters helped corral in redwood city, in a parking structure trying to get away. the lot sits near redwood creek which is where they believe santos ended up, after swimming fr there from the bay. wanted to get a jump on the black friday deals. >> take the dog out. >> that pup is better. >> we have to get the walks in. the rain is coming. >> we are going to see rain coming in late tomorrow afternoon and kind of off and on throughout wednesday before it wraps up on thursday. so here is a live look outside in san francisco, no need for the umbrellas just today it's still dry, in fact very dry, with the potential of

a high fire danger today, in some of our higher elevations, as our winds potentially gust up to 40 to 50 miles per hour, and then tomorrow afternoon the rain arrives, off and on throughout wednesday with rain totals from 0.1 of an inch to an inch of rain and we could see low elevation snow and that includes some bay area peaks from mt. diablo to mt. st. helena and parts of the santa cruz mountains could see snow. before the sierra we'll see up to four feet of snow as we go throughout this week, traveling there, that's going to have a huge impact on your travel plans and then by wednesday, here in the bay area, we may see some hail and storms developing as we see those scattered showers moving through. so here is a look at the storm right now, doesn't look all that impressive, but it is bringing in some rain, and some snow to parts of seattle as well as

washington state. we're going to see that moving in. as we go into tomorrow, we are going to see the rain moving in late in the evening, and then by wednesday we're seeing the scattered showers moving through. now we will see as we head towards thanksgiving the rain will start to move up toward the east and it's just going to be a cold and windy thanksgiving. by friday, we're dry. saturday looks dry, but then the next storm system arrives on late saturday into sunday. so once again, the rain that we're expecting here across the bay area has been the most since about may 18th, and we are looking at up to an inch of rain for most of the bay area, a little bit higher up toward the east with sierra snow. once again a big major impact on travel, up to two to four feet of snow. we're going to see the potential also of some thunderstorms on wednesday. thanksgiving is dry.

friday is dry but if you're planning to head anywhere heading back home on sunday, it's going to be in the mid-50s and raining. so mike, you're following up on a couple of incidents out there. >> i am, kari. the first one is san jose. there was a crash south 101 coming away from sjc the airport and down toward brokaw, one lane blocked and sounding like things were cleared up but holding steady for 20 minutes. i haven't gotten word on the all clear from chp. haven't seen any slowing on our sensors either, though. your typical commute would be northbound and that starts another 20 to 30 minutes. as you travel north around 680 we'll track both directions via. the rest of the bay a smooth drive, a little slowing out of the altamont as you expect and nothing for the peninsula or the east bay as far as incidents or slowing. this is a concern, continues right here, westbound across that bay bridge, we had more focus around treasure island, there was report of a stall. no metering lights are on but

mourners at new beginnings church yesterday held a musical celebration of life for ramon sanders. he broke his leg earlier this year playing football for laney college when doctors diagnosed his cancer. this was originally plan aed to celebrate him surviving cancer and hoped to leave the hospital to attend but died on friday leaving behind a fiance and 1-year-old daughter. >> he's supportive, optimistic, he's goofec to leave so >> so sad. sanders' dream was to attend a soon. t's why friends planned that event to make his dream a reality. a nice tribute. >> yes. >> too young. it's 4:52. as the hours tick down to thanksgiving there's a big need for turkeys to help needy families in the south bay. >> here is a look inside live at sacred heart in san jose.

you might as well call it a total wreck for at least a half dozen passengers on a cruise ship that docked yesterday in loss ang less. all fell ill likely from norovirus. four had to be taken to the hospital. the norwegian cruise ship wrapped up a 16-day journey
