and not the russians interfered with our elections was created by the russians as propaganda. you recall dr. fiona hill formerly top russian expert with the white house national security advisers said exactly the same thing. if you repeat these claims, she said, you're repeating russian propaganda. in the middle is a company called strocrowdstrike. here is the president phoning in to "fox & friends." >> it's very interesting, they have the server from the dnc, democratic national committee. >> who has the server? >> the fbi went in and told them get out of here, with ear not giving it to you. they gave the server to crowdstrike or whatever it's called, which is a company owned by a very wealthy ukrainian. and i still want to see that server. you know, the fbi has never gotten that server. that's a big part of this whole thing. why did they give to to a

ukrainian company. >> are you sure they gave it to ukraine? >> that's what the word is. >> let's take that piece by piece. crowdstrike is not a ukrainian company. it's based in sunny veil, owned by all kinds of investors, the largest are hedge funds. you can buy a share if you wish. it's not owned by ukrainians. the president is not correct when he says this. >> which is a country -- which is a company owned by a very healthy ukrainian. >> there is no wealthy ukrainian. of the founders of crowdstrike, one was born elsewhere, but not ukrainian, he was born in moscow. the next claim that crowdstrike has the email server our intelligence communities says was attacked by the russians. >> they gave the server to crowdstrike or whatever it's called. >> that is also incorrect. crowdstrike is a security company called in to stop the hack and add access but does not poe sense the server. crowdstrike helps protect republican parties' computers, too. >> the fbi has never gotten that everybody isser.
5:48 am
that server, a big part of this whole thing. >> also incorrect in the sense the investigators mirrored the server. they have the information, maybe not the machine with the power cords. the dnc was the victim, not the perpetrator. our intelligence community and fiona hill warned this is part of a russian propaganda plan. there is other news this morning but i thought it important we talk about the crowdstrike thing. adam schiff said the investigation is not over and may call for more witnesses and "the washington post" has uncovered emails showing mick mulvaney asking budget officials for legal justification to withhold military aid to ukraine. we'll explore that in the coming week. follow me on twitter. i'm @scottmcgrew. >> thank you, scott. this morning we want to look at the commute before you head out the door to see how things are moving. >> things are slowing down a bit this morning and tomorrow will be a heavy travel day but we'll start the end of the year slide around thanksgiving.

rain, we've needed it for so long, had the fire threat so dry out there. >> yes, it has been so dry. >> it will make a difference? >> it will make a huge difference. this is what we've seen in terms of our fire season, and this could possibly be finally the end of the 2019 fire season. now normally we see our fire season going from june to september, but because of climate change, it has been extended by about 75 days, and we've also seen more destructive wildfires in recent history. so taking a look back at what affected us this fire season, remember the kincade fire. this was late in the season developing on october 23rd, continues through november 6th, before they got full containment on it, and it burned more than 77,000 acres, which is 121 square miles, that was a huge fire for the season and so as we take a look at what we're going to see heading into the next
