house intelligence committee led by adam schiff after those hearings that they held last month. the report outlines what they say was abuse of power by president trump in asking ukraine, pressuring ukraine to investigate his political rival joe biden and withholding aid from ukraine until they did and promising a prowess meeting. the report is scathing, saying that the president put national security at risk with his actions and the actions of those around him, calling out the vice president and secretary of state as others who were involved or aware of what democrats call a scheme here. and that report has now been turned over to the judiciary committee for today's hearing in phase two of this inquiry. >> this is not about ukraine this is about our democracy. this is about our national security and if we don't care about this we can darn well be sure the

differences, differences that were on full display yesterday in that bilateral meeting between president trump and president macron macron standing by his brain death comment, something that president trump was very critical of earlier in the day, saying the comments were nasty but macron saying the comments were warranted he said that this alliance does not stray strategy going forward, that yes, there's an emphasis that's needed on burden sharing, which is a priority of president trump, but it also needs a common strategy and that's distinctly lacking. something they'll likely discuss during their three-hour working session today. each leader will get about three or four minutes to address the alliance we are expecting president trump to arrive here shortly he also has a number of bilateral meetings on schedule including the german chancellor as well as the danish prime minister >> we'll certainly be watching,

especially if any snipes are taken back and forth there erin, thank you. it was another terrifying day for students in wisconsin. the state experienced school shootings two days in a row this week the second incident involving an armed student who attacked a school resource officer. here's nbc's ron mott. >> reporter: another wisconsin high school is reeling after an officer-involved shooting. this time oshkosh west >> i have a very bad wrist injury it's bleeding very bad i've got one student i believe is shot. >> reporter: police say a 16-year-old student armed with a knife attacked a school resource officer. >> initial reports are that the student produced a weapon and stabbed the officer, at which time the officer fired on the student, striking the student one time >> reporter: officials say the officer and student sustained non-life-threatening injuries. >> i was really scared because i didn't really understand what was happening. >> just being told to run is kind of scary. but at least we're all safe. >> reporter: parents rushed to a nearby middle school to reunite with their children. eric epps overcome with emotion.
