flights to miami ahead of the super bowl, particularly out of san jose and sfo and kansas city. so they know who the fans are are that are going. the super bowl tickets could be the most expensive to date. if you look at your screen. the super bowl that will be played this year, chiefs versus the 49ers are going for about $6,000. the next most expensive, they're all patriots games. 2018, that was $5,400 and in 2019 it was $4,700 and in 2017 that was $4,500 and then super bowl 50 here at levi's stadium broncos versus path they ar-- p and those were $4,400. and people willing to take your money and that is according to seat geek.com. if you are planning on going to miami, things are going to bet expensive really fast. you could always find anything you need at nbcbayarea.com. we have some tips there for you

and some more ticket price information as well as fan reaction. at levi's stadium, kris sanchez, "today in the bay." >> a lot of excitement in the air. whether you are watching the game in miami or at home, this is certainly to savor for 49ers fans. we guess a lot of them went late into the night to celebrate the win. we'll take a closer look at that story at the bottom of the hour. new overnight, two people are dead and more than a dozen injured in a shooting outside of a nightclub in kansas city. the club was hosting a sold-out party to celebrate the chiefs afc championship. it happened late last night and police say that a gunman opened fire on a line of people waiting to get into the club. a security kbard shot and killed the suspect. three are in critical condition and no word on motive. now to capitol hill where lawmakers are working through the mlk jr. holiday. house democrats are finalizing their arguments for tomorrow's impeachment trial.

safety measures. this crash happened on saturday in pleasanton on hacienda near las 'eatas boulevard when the car was fully engulfed in flames. a car burst into flames after striking a concrete sign trapping the driver inside. the crash is still being investigated but neighbors say drivers often speed through the area. >> no protection over here for us. had this wall not been here, it would hit directly. >> it is scary for sure and something we want to do is get a barricade here or something. >> the driver who died has not been identified. the time is ticking for people living in one homeless encampment to leave. supervisors in sonoma county say they want to move the people living in the encampment. the leaders goal is to have that site closed along the -- arosa -- santa rosa i should say

trail at the end of the month. last month county leaders approved $12 million in emergency money to provide housing and services for people living in the encampment. last week they selected a housing site not far from the county's juvenile justice center. a live look at the sierra right now. dark out there. no new snow over the weekend after last week's storms but kari said a chance of rain moving through the bay area and this could boost some of the snow levels. and this morning parts of canada digging out from history-making snowstorms. check out this new time lapse video captured outside of a joe in saint johns, new foundland. two and a half feet of snow and thousands lost power. some describe the storm as being like in a blizzard in a hurricane. pretty intense. >> look at that piling up. >> no kidding. i think i would be a hermit. >> most people would. >> like, laura, you still need

intel reports profits this week, a company worth watching for news and keeping an eye on tesla after laura told you about the deadly crash with a fire. "the mercury news" said elizabeth holmes is having trouble paying her lawyers and may be out of money as she battled federal prosecutors in court.holmes and a businesstner are accused of fraud promoting their blood machine edison as someth hundreds of diseases. parents and in the journal of child psychology is not something you need to worry about, not compared to all of the other things you have to worry about when it comes to raising kids. the study from uc irvine and the university of north carolina took a look at studies that had looked at links between anti-social behavior and depression and cell phones and came up with no causal link. the researchers said, sure, it would be better if the kids were outside playing instead of on

that having a good play list really can boost you as far as your endurance and all of that. >> it should. >> it does keep you going. >> and tony, tony, tony is from the bay area too. >> that is good. all of the old songs come back. >> we know you're up early because you're going to the gym and going to keep those resolutions. now let's get or with a look at what is happening around the bay area. here is a look in fremont. and so far we're looking good. just some light drizzle and a few spots but here we're dry. but into the rest of the morning, that slight chance of rain coming through between 7:00 to 8:00. and then the rest of the day will see mostly cloudy sky and temperatures gradually warming up. we'll reach into the upper 50s with with our high temperature in the south bay reaching 58 degrees. napa as well as concord reaching 56 degrees. in ukiah expect a high of 58. half moon bay reaching 57 degrees. so we're still looking at some rain. here is a look at radar. most of that rain in the north bay as we get a closer look.

it is moving through coastal marin county up toward parts of sonoma county and now about to approach petaluma as well as santa rosa. you're seeing that light rain. and then as we go into the rest of the day, this rain stays along the coast, the rest of the bay area missing out for the most part. we'll be watching this next storm system coming in. that will bring us more widespread rain going into tomorrow. as it moves in, we'll see the first wave of rain during the morning. the rest of the day will dry out and the rest of the week we're looking good up until about late saturday into sunday with more scattered showers moving in. as far as the rain we'll see tomorrow, especially during the morning, most of the fall is in the north bay with a tenth of an inch in san anselmo and in santa rosa about a quarter inch and then also in ukiah and the rest of the bay area will see trace amounts sierra snow about one to five inches, enough to make the roads slick and then the rest of

the week we get more sunshine. temperatures warming up. it is going to be a nice week. and by the weekend unfortunately we'll have some rain coming in. highs in the upper 50s and low 60s. and in san francisco we're going to stay in the upper 50s all throughout the week. let's get out there on the roads and take a look at our morning commute. looking at the golden gate bridge, as you're coming out of the north bay, a smooth flow of traffic across the bridge. no fog to worry. as far as the rest of the bay area, minor issues most of them away from the commute direction. especially with this truck fire that was on 580. that is heading eastbound before you get to 680. and then looking at the south bay, nothing but green. a few areas slowing down as you head up into san jose but for the most part we're looking good. the south bay drive times on northbound 101 from 85 over toward mountain view, about 18 minutes. elsewhere we're seeing also a lot of green which is good.

a new this morning, a horrific scene in hawaii. a man shop and killed two police officers in honolulu before starting a massive fire. it all happened yesterday. policeering at a home when the man started shooting. two officers were hit by gunfire. the shooter then allegedly set the home on fire. investigators believe he died in the flames but he and two women remain unaccounted for. officials say they're continuing to search for him as a precaution. here is honolulu's mayor. >> officers enriquez and kalama put on their uniforms this morning and didn't get home. >> this morning we're learning more about the officers, one is a seven year veteran and the other a nine year veteran. today, richmond, virginia e. the rally comes as state legislators consider new gun

nt a limit on handgun purchases and required background checks. the governor declared a state of emergency banding torches, firearms and weapons at the event. hoping to avoid a repeat of the 2017 deadly charlottesville rally. a string of horse deaths at a southern california race way continues and protesters are renewing the call for the track to close. three horses died over the weekend at santa anita park near l.a. yesterday dozens of protesters gathered to call for a ban on horse racing. since december of 2018, 42 horses died at santa anita. the park said it is committed to safety and italy. with an umbrella walking away a security camera showed someone moments before a landslide. now just seconds mud and debris buried that walkway and the whole area. authorities released this video as a reminder to people to heed the weather warnings.

"today in the bay's" pete suratos joins us live with new details about the victims and the suspected gunman in this case. pete? >> reporter: good morning to you, laura. that new information from moraga police is the suspect may have dated one of the victims so there is a bit of a relationship there. so they're investigating it as a possible domestic violence case.

but we'll show you video from the scene. now moraga police say they got a call around 7:30 p.m. last night about a shooting in this parking lot in front of the they found two shooting victims in the van that you see there in the video. now moraga police are identifying the shooting suspect of 25-year-old isaiah glaze of sacramento. he was arrested north of the scene thanks to information received from the victims. thousand here is the police chief explaining what they know so far about how the shooting unfolded. >> the suspect was driving a car. he stopped directly behind the victims' vehicle and the victims had the silver van here behind us and blocked the car in. and he got out of his car and went to the driver's window and fired two shots into the van. >> reporter: now police say when they found that suspect, he was suffering from a gunshot wound which we are now learning was

taken to a hospital for nonlife-threatening injuries but moraga police say they are not looking for any more suspects at this time. live, pete suratos, for "today in the bay." >> thank you. on the peninsula, a house oodatity to make way for 130 new homes. as early as today the city is expected to bring down eight remaining two-story floating homes at the docktown marina. that area under investment. three weeks ago the city removed morehouse boats it bought from owners last year. city officials have maintained they worked hard to help house boat owners relocate. 5:38. crews are expected to continue building tiny homes to help fight the homelessness epidemic. over the weekend volunteers built three and in the middle of building six more. many are wondering how long they'll stay up. the construction in oakland san antonio neighborhood is the fourth attempt by the village to

create a community for oakland homelessness population. bulldozed by the city as projects did not have needed permits. well this m idea of a dedicated bus lane on the bay bridge. now since rob bonda posted the idea on social media two beaks ago it is catching fire. at least among other lawmakers and transportation leaders. this week a.c. transit and b.a.r.t. directors will debate resolutions supporting the plan. bus-only lane was tried once before in the early 1960s and leaders pummed that plug on it within a year. two bay area cities are set to updating rules for so-called granny units. tomorrow city leaders in piedmont and walnut creek are expected to address the issue. walnut creek said new state laws would eliminate the city's existing zoning regulations for the granny units. piedmont city leaders are expected to debate ordinance

the evidence continues to pour in. leaving some to wonder if perhaps democrats filed charges too early. the white house has until 9:00 a.m. to file paperwork in response to those official charges. a legal brief outlining where the president should be acquitted. now we think the argument will be that the president did do what he's accused of, he did ask the president of ukraine to investigate the bidens, he did withhold military aid to an ally, but that behavior does not reach an impeachable offense and they may have to admit to that because those things did happen but should he lose his job over it, that is the question. and expect supporters to argue the whole thing is unfair. >> i think it is very rich to hear people talk about what the senate needs to do is have a fair trial. we're purposed to do that but where was that outcry during 116 days of investigations and trial in the house. >> now that is not entirely accurate. some witnesses, republicans had

livermore. 56 in napa. also see a high of 56 today in san francisco. but we're still seeing that rain mostly along the coast and in parts of north bay as we get a closer look we've seen the rain moving into santa rosa and extending closer to napa county. but it is been very light. and it is still just enough to make the roads slick as you head out. we're going to see a chance of some more widespread rain with this storm system that will be arriving by tomorrow morning. so as we time it out, we're seeing it in our hour-by-hour outlook, today mostly dry and then here we are by this time tomorrow morning seeing more widespread rain moving into the north bay. maybe heavier, too. but this is where the highest rainfall totals will be. by the time it starts to move into the rest of the bay area by tomorrow afternoon, a lot of the rain is breaking apart and only brings in scattered showers. we'll see rainfall totals mostly very barely measurable for areas south of the golden gate bridge. but areas to the north we could

5:56 on monday morning. new overnight, two people are dead. more than a dozen injured in a shooting outside of a nightclub in kansas city. the club was hosting a sold out party to celebrate the chiefs afc championship last night. the gunman opened fire on a line of people waiting to get inside of that club. the security guard shot and killed the suspect. three are in critical condition. no word on the motive. time is ticking for people

living in one north bay homeless encampment to leave. they want to move the people living in to close the site along the joe rid oda trail by the end of the month. last month county leaders approved $12 million in emergency money to provide housing and services for people living in the encampment. last week they selected a housing site not far from the juvenile justice center. the san francisco pride parade organizers are banning another group from taking part in the summer celebrations. alameda county sheriffs deputies are not allowed to march in uniform. their decision comes after deputies evicted two mothers who were occupying a home illegally in oakland last week. the vote happened after similar resolutions to ban google and youtube from the parade from allowing anti-gay content. another chick-fil-a could be decided. the campbell city council would have to vote on the project. if approved it would be built at
