killer after a woman is found dead in a home in southeast foothill. "today in the bay" kris sanchez is live for us. and i understand the neighbors are saying that home is an airbnb? >> reporter: so that is what neighbors are telling us and we did reach out to airbnb and expecting comment this morning but you could see the crime scene tape is still up here in the east foothills. this is the scene here on mountain view near gordon. our night crews saw deputies going through trash cans and interviewing neighbors and we talked with two men who were staying at that same home where the woman was town killed last night. but they say they never saw a woman there. deputies interviewed others [ inaudible ]. so the sheriff's department is asking for neighbors to look at security video to see what that shows. at this point deputies do not have a suspect. they are asking for tips from

but this live view in san rafael is looking clear as you're driving through this stretch but there are other areas like santa rosa where visibility is down to a quarter of a mile. watch out for that. it is drifting around the north bay and along the coast. as with we head into the afternoon, it is going to be another nice one. take a look at the high temperatures. 70 degrees in downtown san jose. and 71 in gilroy. our east bay highs reach 69 in walnut creek and hayward up to about 64 degrees. some upper 50s in half moon bay. and palo alto reaching 68 degrees. san francisco up to 62 on the embarcadero. and north bay highs, santa rosa reaching 66 after we get that sunshine moving in. a look at the wide view of what is happening across the region. we are seeing a line of clouds just off the coast and some changes here as we're starting to see that high pressure that kept it so dry starting to break down. it will allow for a couple of low pressure systems and storm

systems to move in but that rain misses the bay area and heads straight for southern california for the weekend. now there will be a couple of more moving our way and so as we go into next week, we could see some showers in here by next thursday. but we're still dry in the meantimeme meantime so expect a few more clouds to move and inland temperatures continuing to warm up. 0is by the end of the week and start to the weekend and dry thl at least next tuesday or wednesday. maybe a few spotty showers along the coast and in san francisco on friday. mike, you're seeing an early back-up at the bay bridge. >> that is right. and it could be a combination of things. we haf had a late start dauz one of the cash lanes didn't open until later than expected and the other one opens after 5:00. and we had monday off and folks might have stretched that to a four-day holiday and others might have all week off and they are not commuting.

so we'll see how that shapes up in the next ten minutes. oakland is great. the southbound side and headlights northbound and across the area without incident with the idea of volume out there. no major problems. over here at the top of the screen i'm pointing to the north bay, north of novato where we are registering fog on our road weather index but hasn't been a problem. haven't seen issues for the golden gate bridge. that is clear the last time we looked at that camera. over here vasco southbound your commute from marsh creek down to 580 and at speed including the narrows approaching the freeway and a nice drive out of the south bay up the peninsula or across the water. dumbarton bridge and san mateo bridge looking from the south to the north look across the bay. and here from south to north the taillights into whipple where there are overnight construction crews and do prepare for flashing lights. back to you. >> thank you very much, mike. 4:48 now. new video from the chp showing

the end of a chase in berkeley. chp posted a night time shot by helicopter. it all started just before 2:00 on tuesday morning when officers began following a stolen chevy impala on 580 then a toyota camry blocked chp officers. the camry took off at about 120 miles per hour. chp officer followed it and later led officers to the suspect who ran off. two suspects in the chevy impala were later arrested at the bay bridge toll plaza. some recent arrests made at sonoma county courthouse are sparking outrage among the d.a. and public defender. because they were made by i.c.e. agents involving three people believed to be from immigrant communities who were handling all criminal matters. now county leaders say that the arrest violated the new state law undermined local authority and add the level of fear to the immigrant community.
