79 degrees. we're starting out with mid-50s. at noon temperatures in the low 70s in danville. we're at 75 in san jose and 68 in novato. reaching into the mid-70s this it afternoon. we're not going to see any 80s this afternoon. but we're going to cool down for the weekend. as we head over to mike now, you're racking two crashes on highway 92. yeah, i have three crashes. two crash sites over on the peninsula. green sensors almost everywhere. highway 92 over here ralston, an earlier crash with slowing, should be over to the shoulder quickly. over here over on the half moon bay side of 280 this crash between upper and lower 35. we have a crash involving one vehicle. the second crash involves a dump truck not too far so that is a problem between half moon bay. and that is a phone for the morning commute until they clear that up so we'll track that as well. back to you.

>> thank you, mike. >> the number of coronavirus cases is increasing as the cases continue to spread quickly around the world. >> so we want to get you up to speed overnight in the california connection as well. 83,000 worldwide infections are now confirmed. the virus has killed 2,800 people, mostly of them in china. there are still 60 confirmed cases in the u.s. in the meantime health officials are trying to retrace the steps of the solano county woman hospitalized in sacramento. sergio quintana has more on the race to contain the outbreak. >> reporter: most patients at the north bay vacaville hospital have not learned this is where the latest coronavirus patient was first detected. >> now i'm worried we could catch it. >> reporter: administrators are urging the facility is safe. dr. bell mattia saying the new coronavirus patient has changed how everyone will now respond.

>> we know the cat is out of the bag in terms of it having to spread and we're trying to slow the spread as much as possible. >> reporter: authorities say the patient had not recently traveled to china nor in contact with anyone who had recently traveled there. that is why it took so long to get her tested. the cdc has now expanded the criteria for who should be tested. but the cdc has not been able to roll out test kits in large numbers. >> we have been frustrated in getting out a test widely that is able to -- manufactured at cdc because we're very careful about the quality assurance of that test. >> reporter: other countries like china and south korea have widely distributed tests. during a news conference with gavin newsom he revealed california only has 200. >> that is simply inadequate to do justice to the kind of testing that is required to address this issue head on. >> reporter: he said the cdc has now agreed to send more kits. as authorities scramble to

my $4 fish sandwich combo! stack it up for an extra buck. and here we go. a friday morning for you as we take a live look out at san jose. a beautiful way to start the friday. it is friday. >> i know. >> how long have we waited for >> that is true. no secrets here. so we start out this morning with another nice forecast. >> yeah. still warm. we're still going to have our sunshine and we're heading into the last days of the month. when it is without a drop of rain. so might enjoy it. a look at our live view in oakland as you get ready to head out and head to work this morning. we're going to see temperatures milder due to the warm weather we had yesterday. if you're going to be going to the fruitvale b.a.r.t. station, expect it to be at about 55 degrees in the next hour and then a mix of sun and clouds.

we'll see a few more clouds today. giving us a filtered sunshine. as our temperatures make it into the upper 60s at noon. let's get a look at all of our high temperatures for today. milpitas and east san jose reaching 78. now yesterday was about 79 so one degree below that and 75 today in walnut creek. while pleasanton tops out at 77 degrees. for half moon bay, you'll feel cooling there. 61 for a high. and san mateo reaching 71. some upper 60s in san francisco today. and some mid-70s for the north bay with santa rosa reaching 74 degrees. as you check out that seven-day forecast, it is already up at the bottom of the screen. we're getting a look at changes ahead for the bay area. we could see the storm track still to the north and some clouds spreading in from the south. we can see this will give us those clouds that we'll see throughout today but a lot more changes ahead as the cool air starts to roll in from the north, by sunday we have gusty winds. also a chance of some sierra

snow. for us that high pressure builds once again into next week. warming our temperatures up. so we have a couple of days with much cooler air and some gusty winds that we'll have to watch on sunday as we get more clouds moving in. look at that high temperature, ome 59 degrees. but we jump up another 10 degrees on monday. mike, you're tracking the crashes in the san mateo highlands. >> that is right. this is most of the area between 280 and picture this if you know, between 280 and skyline and there is that bike place and then la canada road and just off of 280 where we have the slowing, a crash involving a ving ving -- a vingle vehicle and then a garbage truck. not far from 280. we hope this clears over the next hour but that would be a problem to and from half moon bay. we'll track that. no major injuries or other major crashes throughout the bay.

area. when i came home from prison my sons were in their teens. so i got involved in juvenile justice, i didn't want them to go through the same thing i went through. michael bloomberg created the young men's initiative. in helping keep other young men and young women from entering into the criminal justice system. and we see it, we see it in young people being employed. we see young people being removed out the system. running for president, what better platform for him to speak about real justice, real reform. i'm mike bloomberg and i approve this message.
