doing working from home, and we are requesting that you watch out for the safety of the overnight road workers still going on there, on the peninsula through san mateo. overnight crews are still doing the essential work so that is going on to keep the roadways repaired. at the bay bridge, you can see the light drive. there's concerns about the positive test results at a senior living center on the peninsula. six residents from atree yasiner living center tested positive. the faculty is taking the residents temperatures twice a

day and addressing their needs during the pandemic. napa, solana county are the final two counties asking people to just stay home. so far in napa county, they have no new cases, but napa leaders put the county on lockdown as a precaution. that sent some residents scrambling before the shutdowns. >> there's not restaurants hiring currently. >> most restaurants need to shutdown except for pick up or delivery. and they are weighing in on the possibility that schools remain close for the rest of the school year. and the districts are scrambling

the reality is this school year is not over and we are still working to educate our kids. >> reporter: what we do know at this point is that likely as state test something going to be put on hold the governor promised he would be seeking a waiver and the state superintendent said the same thing, and he said there would not be a good way to get all the kids assembled for testing and it would not be given fair given the conditions they are going through right now. the superintendent's plan calls for creativity and flexibility getting anything to the students. we don't know wham this will be for your older students that could be preparing for college, and the state superintendent

asked us to stand by for that. school is only officially out until april 3rd, and that could change and when it does we will let you know. >> i know a lot of parents are anxiously waiting to see what will happen. nationwide hospitals are preparing for a medical surge for patients with the coronavirus. the president along with governor newsom say two navy ships will be put into service, one heading to new york and the other is docked in san diego and possibly heading here to the by area. it has 1,000 beds and a medical lab, pharmacy and held apad. they are trying to say in the trauma centers in the bay area, we will relieve some of

global demand, and then you have a price war between saudi arabia and russia. the new york stock exchange will move to fully electronic trading on monday after a trader and an employee tested positive for the coronavirus. nysd said trading will continue without interrupting. this is the first time the training floor has ever shut while electronic trading continues. walmart is trimming hours for the second time in a week. those that open later than 7:00 a.m., they will continue their regular starting hours. for march 24th through april 28th, walmart will host an hour-long shopping event every tuesday for senior citizens.

bringing us much-needed rain, we will see it further to the south, but it will keep rain across the south bay. as we check out the temperatures we are going to see highs today there's another weather system reach into the low 50s and 60s, up alaska,ext week. and the south bay, we are going to have a very pleasant afternoon, a light wind. we will be watching out for the showers moving in as our temperatures reach in the low 50s. the peninsula reaching 56 degrees, and upper 50s for san francisco and the north bay reaching up to 62 degrees in santa rosa. we talked about those rain chances. it's going to be mostly for the south bay, possibly into the tri-valley. you can see the timeline there as we go into later on today, some of the showers could be popping up and quieting down tonight and then the rest of the forecast will be mainly dry with the exception of a few coastal showers going into friday.

we had an accident on the shoulder. folks are sheltering at home and a lot fewer commuters out there. >> thanks, mike. in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, homeless rights groups, yesterday city officials did say they plan to convert 42 of the recreation centers to a temporary shelter for the homeless. the state capital in sacramento closed due to coronavirus concerns. lawmakers were told to prepare for all legislative offices to be closed until april, and the legislature had to close all committee meetings and have budget meetings before closing the building.
