i've been tracking. light green, light showers moving through from the peninsula to the bay. as well as the tri-valley, so we can see even the spin of the storm system as we see more moisture off the low to the south of us. they're really getting the heavy rain across southern california right now. a look at all of that rain moving through. that's a reason we have to keep rain in the forecast. today, even though we won't see this all day long. still some spotty showers as we go hour by hour. it does show a lot of breaks here. when we do see the breaks expect a partly to mostly sunny sky and the rain chances will be lower for parts of the north bay where we won't see as much of that rain coming through mostly for the east bay and parts of the south bay over towards the peninsula is where we will see our highest chance of rain even into tonight a couple of spotty showers could roll on through. we are going to also take a lot

more of a break from the heavier rain that we saw over the weekend and to start out this week. so our seven-day forecast shows after we get through this we're going to see our temperatures warming up. we have low 70s heading our way. we're going to make it into the upper 60s. still not a bad day today. if you're looking for those times to get fresh air this afternoon will be very nice and then once again we'll have a lot of warm and dry weather going into the weekend. mike, you've been doing something new called the new normal. that's right. that's my new normal for the morning. we're trying to find out how folks are adapting at doing things in a new way. we have a photo shared by diana. if you look at her, she's a hairstylist and is doing something in front of a computer. clearly she has cool lights for face timing and there's a client head right in front of her. the next picture shows the client is not a client, it's a

mannequin head. she was doing a demo over face time and helping out these folks you'll see next. the person getting her hair done, that's jen. the person doing her hair is her husband. he's never done this before. he's being taught how to do coloring over the web. maybe he'll get a certification. now we talked about this yesterday as well. a lot of us are trying to deal with how to keep our hair in good shape. i took video yesterday while i did a trim job t. wasn't that big of a deal but it was getting puffy on the sides. as i'm doing this, marcus, we talked about the clipper needing the guard. i'm realizing things are tougher with the dog barking in the background, too, and it turns out i was using my old clippers and old guard. they broke while i was doing my hair. i averted any big holes in my hire and will have to do a major touchup on friday. i think it turned out okay.

alex perry who owns a commercial sign company has been waiting even longer. >> we're down about 80%. >> reporter: perry applied through a community bank and can't get an update on its status. >> all the lenders and vendors are playing nice right now. we're all in this together, but i worry what's going to happen four to six weeks when their bills come due. >> reporter: lester, the president said he wants congress to come up with an additional $250 billion for the program and wants the senate to vote on it as early as thursday. 4:50 this morning. governor newsom wants to help undocumented immigrants living in california. that group does not qualify for money under the coronavirus relief bill. he plans to unveil a plan next month and says that part of that will include a border package. many americans are expected to start seeing those relief checks next week. extend down to the navy ships
