but agents say he didn't have a r license and they seized 50,000 masks. >> i have all the records, like the price from my suppliers and the price of the sales. >> the man claims he bought the masks on ebay before mask sellers were shut down and sells them to nonprofits. he says he hasn't been fined or cited just yet. the attorney general's office confirms they executed three search warrants in alameda county. we hope to learn more details this morning. and really for everyone these days that protection is critical but no more so than the people on the front lines. with us this morning on skype is the founder of a company, a car fragrance company called scent wedge. he has repurposed his company to make those masks for those on the front lines. thank you for joining us. >> hi, good morning. >> you know, it's a great thing.

you make the scent holders specifically for tesla cars, but you found a way to stop doing that production to make these masks. tell us how you even came up with that idea. >> yeah, it was just really after a couple weeks of sheltering in place, feeling helpless, and then having the realat actually do something to help and luckily had the tooling necessary to do something. i felt if i didn't do something, i wouldn't be able to go on being happy. i started making face shield because people on the frontline are putting their lives at risk and not only that if they actually catch covid not only is it life threatening but it puts them out of service for 14 days.

i decided to design something that's super easy to make and uses abundant materials. using a transparency film from overhead projectors and a rubber band and a piece of acrylic. by doing that you're not risking running out of supply. >> did it take a few prototypes to figure out what you were doing and actually you've now got the blueprints, so to speak to share with others should they have the special printers. >> yes, yes. the idea is using a laser cutter you can make face shields a lot faster than a 3d printer. to give you an idea of the 3d printed shields take 30 minutes

kari, how is the weather looking for us? well, we have seen some cool and rainy weather. yesterday was really nice but i wanted to show what you it looks like for the ran family across who are also having to shelter in place. there's this huge surge of warm weather making it as far north as new york city and chicago where fotoday they'll reach int the mid-70s. it makes it hard to stay inside. miami today reaching 95 degrees, also 90s in dallas. people probably want to go swimming or go to the beaches. you cannot do that now. a few lingering light showers. we'll see a chance of those showers continuing today. by breg in some rain. scattered rain chances in the forecast today but some of the heaviest remains over southern
