nbcbayarea.com. the update from the drought monitor just came out, and we are under an extreme drought in the far corner as you head north of the bay area. notice as you head south of the bay area, there are no color shadings here, and that's because there's no drought because they had a lot more rain than we did here. as we look closer at the bay area we remain unchanged from last week. we are still under a severe drought from the peninsula over towards the east bay and up towards the north bay where we are lacking in some spots about 15 inches of rain to catch up to normal. we know during the month of may we start to transition over towards drier weather. as we look at the dry view right now from the cupertino hills looking over the south bay, if you are in san jose you are seeing low clouds right now, and once this clears we are in for a

new details this morning n. a month-old history finally solved, many of you recall seeing this dashcam video that showed a car plunging off the cliff in late december. divers tried for weeks to find signs of the car and some thought even the video had been doctored, but the chp announced the driver was a san francisco woman named tracy sinclair. they id'd her from her remains. the car still has not been found. pg&e will reportedly have to revamp and overhaul it's fire inspection efforts and that's what a federal judge has ordered in response to the utility agreeing to plead county wildfi. the judge says pg&e will have to
