"today in the bay's" sharon katsuda joins us live to explain how that decision capped off two days of pretty tense confrontations. sharon? >> reporter: that's right, laura. many students turned out to protest the board meeting on this issue, hours of discussion and public comment took place virtually last night. antioch school board voted 3-2 to accept a federal grant that would bring six resource officers onto school campuses. the grant is for $750,000 over three years. the city and school district mapping funds add up to over $3 million in that three-year period. in the community mixed reaction on whether this is a good move. >> considering the capitol hipo climate poc and particularly

newsom signed a law allowing couns counties to merge precincts but in exchange the sites that do open will have to open from saturday, october 31st, through election day for at least eight hours a day. a new warning this morning from wildlife experts. don't feed the deer. there's a disease now killing the deer population right here in the bay area. "the chronicle" is reporting over the past few months dead deer have been found across northern california. the disease starts with foaming at the month, they have seizures as well. they find it's rapidly spreading. it doesn't affect people or pets. veterinarians recommend don't feed the deer so they don't congregate. just before the nfl deadline five more players opted out of the 2020 season and that means now 66 players in all are sitting out because of their health concerns tied to the
