glitch we told you about late last month. yesterday more than 12,000 con f firmed cases were added but not clear what dates they were confirmed in that time frame. the good news is that hospitalizations continue to decline. there's more happening in contra costa county to address that delay in getting covid-19 results for people who get those tests. health officials say two county lab facilities will get additional equipment to allow processing of hundreds of covid-19 samples a day with a one to two-day turn around time. they say labs are overwhelmed with the volume of tests. the county opening up two new testing centers this week, both in richmond. many of us are fighting the battle of the bulge during the pandemic as indoor gyms remain closed across the bay area. an event being held today to aim to showcase the importance of fitness and health. this morning 24-hour fitness plans to hold a pop-up cardio class happening outside the san
