a very good morning to you. it is 7:56. i'm laura garcia. here is a look at what's happening now. >> reporter: i'm cierra johnson. it's been about a week since folks in the north bay received evacuation warnings and orders. it appears cal fire has a better hold of this blaze. right now that fire has burned 356,000 acres. the good news cal fire says the fire is at 27% containment. it's been burning for eight days, and this fire has left five people dead. good morning, i'm scott mcgrew. american airlines says it may have tout c as many as 40,000 jobs as fewer of us think it's safe to fly anytime soon. 19,000 of those would come through actual layoffs, the rest through retirement and early buyouts as well. american says it needs more help
