you did triple duty yesterday so thank you for that. we'll look out to the roadways where not a lot of issues reported. the speed sensors look great around the bay. we go up to the north bay, coming southbound 680 approaching industrial. sounds like there may have been a crash involving the big rig. the car apparently tapped the rig and went off the roadway just shy of the benicia bridge. watching for more detail as chp arrives. i'll let you know if any lanes are blocked. the speed sensors are clear across all these spans. back to you. following breaking news out of fresno county, that fast-moving wildfire, the creek fire has burned nearly 79,000 acres overnight. crews made another attempt to rescue about 50 people that are trapped near chinese peak and lake edison. bobome on and report the national guard had ceased their

rescue operations because conditions were so bad, but we've learned within the past 30 to 35 minutes they have resumed their helicopter operations. and so far they have rescued at least 13 people. i want to throw up a map so you get a sense where we're talking about. this is taking place in the sierra national forest. we know there were at least about 50 people who were trapped. 39 were at the vermilion valley resort at lake edison. 14 of those people did try to drive out but they only got as far as chinese peak where they're waiting for an airlift. we don't know who among those people have been rescued of the good tuesday morning. watching the wind speeds already 13. we know three choppers have been high in parts of the north bay sent out to four locations and and fairfield as well as napa and santa rosa. we believe rescue attempts are ongoing. winds at 32 miles an hour. we believe because of an apparent heart attack. now the national guard tells us we have a high fire danger. that overnight, this was more of that coming up in a few minutes. reported initially, they made kari is the meteorologist several attempts at different but i want to show you this shot outside as things are across the locations with chinook and bridge. i think it might be steam --

afternoon. east san jose reaches up to 98 degrees. gilroy, 101 degrees for a high temperature this afternoon. we're reaching 102 in walnut creek with oakland up to 91 today. and some low 80s for daly city and half moon bay. redwood city, 93 degrees. some mid-80s in san francisco. for the north bay we're going to see those high temperatures up to 96 for a high temperature in sonoma today. let's talk about our wind speed because it's already windy in parts of the north bay and the hills may have those gusts up to 50 miles per hour today. we're looking at wind speeds that will continue to blow offshore. this is our first offshore wind event where it even heats up the coastal areas and that air is so dry, so we're dealing with that today. and so with that along with the low humidity fire danger is really high. and then we add in the low humidity that we'll see today, and when you talk about single

digit humidity, relative humidity levels, man, it's just extremely dry and our vegetation is already very crispy. we do have to be very careful today. we lock ok at temperatures that will come down a few more degrees by the end of the week. we have some upper 80s. san francisco in the mid-80s today. and then 70s for the most part for the rest of the week. mike, you are watching a couple issues out there on the roads. how is it looking? overall pretty calm, kari. we are watching the benicia bridge has been a focus because of activity just before you get there. the overall view shows a smooth drive. you'll notice different than last week highway 1 open down toward the bottom of the screen. still watch for the traffic control. but the czu fire in that reason, continuing with progress but we have that going on. highway 84 as well as 580 typical slowing. a little more spread out for 580 into livermore. coming down to the benicia
