some in tears yesterday following that decision. the two officers, there were two officers that were shot 30 minutes before a citywide curfew went into effect. the city's interim chief now concerned for officers on the ground. >> i am concerned. we had two officers shau s shott and that is very serious condition. and i think the safety of our officers and the community we serve is of utmost importance. >> now both of the officers shot are expected to survive and the national guard now on standby in the event more violence occurs. taylor was shot in her home in march. this is after officers walked in with a no-knock warrant and broke down that door. the only charge filed yesterday involves a now fired police sergeant accused of endangerment. demonstrators making their voices heard.

a small group of protesters remain outside of san jose city hall right now in a show of sol solidarity for breonna taylor's family and they plan to stay there it indefinitely to bring awareness to racial injustice. >> people gathered at lake merritt before marching to city hall. protesters blocking traffic along highway 24. another demonstration is planned for that area later today. in san francisco a mostly peaceful scene as demonstrators rallied across the mission district near the police headquarters calling for change. >> we just keep on seeing people that look just like us and people who are related to people we are related to being killed with zero accountability and zero recourse in the system. >> the group eventually marched to the block where san francisco police officers shot and killed louis pat in 2016 and calle
