test good morning. it's 7:56. i'm laura garcia. here's a look at what's happening now. >> reporter: i'm bob redell in santa rosa in the skyhawk community where a number of homes, as you can see behind me, burned down. the glass fire burned through here yesterday. what we're not seeing today, and this is a good thing, we're not seeing the high temperatures, probably 30 degrees cooler today compared to yesterday, and the winds have died down significantly. hopefully it stays this way and helps the firefighters get some containment on this fire that has done so much. >> reporter: i'm sharon katsuda at sonoma raceway where they are welcoming evacuees from the glass fire. you can see there are about a dozen vehicles here right now, and they are expecting many more

lo on this program now 12-year-old emme, she's following in mom's foot steps. she's got a pretty remarkable project she's working on for a 12-year-old. she has written a book you guys know she was on the stage at the super bowl. that and more just ahead good morning to you. it's 8:26. i'm marcus washington. the glass fire continues to burn out of control this morning in the north bay. so far the fire has scorched around 36,000 acres. last night the entire town ever calistoga ordered to evacuate bringing that total number of evacuation orders to somewhere around 80,000 in napa and sonoma counties. cal fire says at least 80 homes are destroyed. governor newsom has now declared a state of emergency. midday we'll have live team coverage from the major fire zone and the aftermath of neighborhoods engulfs in those flames 24 hours later. let's get a look at the forecast for you.
