she flew back on air force one to washington with the president. she was quarantined aboard the plane and then as i understand from a white house official i spoke to, it would have been common, can't tell me if he fintively she would have been tested thursday morning. and that's when yesterday morning it was determined she had tested positive. obviously as we know, based on that constellation of contacts there are a lot of folks here at the white house and in the campaign that are revisiting their experiences and interactions over the last several days. they're doing contact tracing now. moments ago, bill stepien, the president's campaign manager, sent a statement to all staff. anybody with exposure to any of those individuals that tested positive needs to immediately self quarantine. he said in his statement the now, but campaign offices around the country remain open. >> so peter, right now at this moment in the white house, have

7:34 am
in theory, that's a positive, everybody is back at work. but we're seeing a recovery slowdown. we hear about a v shaped recovery, meaning the economy was great, covid hit and dipped and now we're shooting back. when you look at the jobs number and recovery slowing, that takes us to what's known as k recovery. things went down, shot up for some people, for others they continuing to languish. what you don't hear in the jobs report is what we got in the last week from companies like disney, goldman, sachs, airline industry, laying oftef tens of thousands of people. and a lot of those job losses are permanent. when news like this comes out, and more states say we need to slow down on reopening, you're going to see more businesses say we're keeping more employees home. that means a lot of employees lose jobs, support staff lose jobs. all of this matters now. this is the last jobs report we get before the election,
