let's talk about what's going on with our air quality because that may have a lot of people inside for today as we get a look at some of the smoke that continues to drift across much of the north bay as the glass fire continues to burn and then we're seeing it moving over to the east bay as well. so unhealthy air quality as well but we are not seeing as much of that smoke moving into the east bay and then elsewhere we're getting some clearing. we're looking at our wind speed forecast. right now we have a very light southerly wind picking up and then as it turns more westerly that helps clear the smoke from the coastline as well as much of the bay, so we are going to see that continuing for today along with some slightly cooler temperatures in spots. a big cooldown by the end of the week as some rain moves in. we'll talk about that coming up. mike, how is it looking now for the morning commute? it's looking great, kari, aside from the fog. green sensors all around the bay as we look at the big map.

quenching like cranberry juice today, kari? in some spots, yes. it's still going to be very warm this afternoon. let's head out and look at our temperature trend in foster city where we've seen improvements in the air quality and it's going to be a comfortable day. we're starting out with some low nifts here, a chilly morning. once all of the clouds and fog clears out we'll have some nice weather. i think we'll see more sunshine by 10:00 or 11:00 and then making it into the upper 60s by early in the afternoon as we head there into the 70s. 82 will be the high in palo alto. 85 in san jose. some 90s in the tri-valley and 90 degrees in concord. as you head up to santa rosa we're reaching up to 87 degrees while san francisco will be in the low 70s. our air quality over the next few days will still be smoky in the north bay. and we'll see some improvements elsewhere while the inland east bay will continue to see a wind pattern that brings in the smoke
