golden gate bridge on the night of the 49ers. the cooling shore tet term is t story. temperatures outside mostly in the 60s and 70s in our 24 hours temperature change has cooled down. you can see there down about 5 degrees to 10 degrees for most of the bay area. the short break is not going to last all that long. by that time tomorrow night, the weather watch in the north bay mountains and people drying north winds and opposite of the sea brees, we may see those fire weather watch extended down to the east bay hill. next up later in the week, a stronger offshore wind. pg&e already assigned potential for power impact. that would be on wednesday. the impact on temperatures and big changes on the way for next weekend and our forecast coming up about 8 minutes. election day is just 16 days away. the voter registration deadline is fast approaching.

it is midnight tomorrow. election officials are encouraging people to register ahead of time. voters still have the option to register conditionally on election day at a polling place. >> we have 580 polling places in san francisco. there is a tool on our website that people can use. they put in their address and the tool will tell them the location of their precinct polling place. they come here to the outdoor voting center. >> san francisco election officials say about 23% of registered voters in the city have cast their ballots. the deadline is not the only important date coming up this week. joe biden and president trump will go for a final debate on neva november 3rd, you can watch it right here at the bay area. one week from tuesday is a final way to request a ballot by mail.

you have to wait until october 27th to request one for your vote to be counted. they must be returned by election day, that means postmarked or returned in person, no later than 8:00 p.m. on november 3rd. young voters are expected to have a big impact on this election. in a digital original, now that you registered, what happens on election day? well, if you are voting in person, you can find your polling place on vote.org. here in california, you don't need an id to cast your ballots. in some states you do. make sure you know your state's requirement. all registered voters will be mailed an absentee ballot. only use a black or blue pen to mark your choices. pencils or red pens are not allowed. >> for more about what young

cheers in durham, north carolina today. he encourages everyone to vote early. he blames the president for the pandemic and what many people are facing. >> folks are worried of making their next rent payment or mortgage payment. worried about sending their kids to school or not sending their kids to school. they see folks at the top and they're doing better than ever. while they are left to wonder who's looking out for me. >> north carolina is a critical state at the race for the white house. republicans are fighting to keep their majority. the poll shows biden with 46% of the vote compares to the president 42%. the debate is on thursday, in nashville, nbc's kristen welker is moderating.

best compliant and a few are not. they can cause spikes in covid cases forcing the county to roll back reopening back into a more restricted tier. monday morning, san mateo will take covid violation report from the public. both 211 calls and on the main county's web page. >> we believe it is the tool to change behavior so that's why we are moving forward with the team. >> reporter: eight people from a variety of agencies will investigate and enforce the rules which could include fines of $3,000. reymond wong says he welcome the reporting especially if it will help the county move forward safely through the pandemic. >> i have no issues. it is okay. >> reporter: the reporting system will streamline all the complaints from the county's 26 cities into one database for

possible on the coast, highs tomorrow tomorrow. upper 80s and cooling continue during the day. north bay hill of a thousand feet. it will be a return of a north breeze picking up. that's a first three wind period. we'll be watching closely over the next seven days, tuesday is our first and that's coming up monday night and tuesday and fire weather watch for the north bay hill. diablo range adding in. thursday is the stronger of the two wind events. here is the big change from 80s and 90s, the highs will be in the 70s by next weekend. we'll be watching that and morning temperatures will be dropping in the 40s so we'll be looking forward to cooler fall weather, next weekend we could be headed to that direction. the main problem obviously will be gusty winds. we'll take a closer look coming

you saw defense and offense. one of the big plays of the game in the second half in the third quarter, our old friend jared goff not so good on this sequence. it was the 49ers that stepped up in a big way in the end zone there. the interception in the end zone there. and that really helped turn around the game. the rams were driving. the interception in the end zone and that helped. jimmy g. on the podium down in the locker room. let's listen in. >> it was a different mindset. the last couple of weeks, who we are as a team and this week got us back right on track. >> jimmy, can you describe the touch you have to put on th

remembering the past supreme court, rbg. >> reporter: organizers scheduled the rbg movie tonight before he passed away. this showing is sold out. >> reporter: 60 people gathered for a viewing of the documentary of rbg. she's known for her lifelong fight of gender discrimination. the late supreme court justice drew a crowd of fans wanting to learn more about her life. >> people loved what she stands for and everything that's happening with our world and listening to her and hearing how she accomplished what she did is so valuable. >> reporter: with political attack, just 15 days before the presidential election, some say watching the rbg tudocumentary offered them fresh hope and

sales are strong and hot for san jose's first black owned coffee shop. we brought you this story a month ago. two sisters grew up in san jose, founded the coffee shop. customers were lining up before it opened on the first day. now more than three weeks later, we checked in with the sisters they are busier than they thought they would be.

jose and santa clara. right now 69 degrees. humidity starting to rebound a little bit. here is something we have to talk about for a while. that's a good thing. good to moderate for tomorrow at the sea breeze. again, patchy. patchy fog along the coast. everyo even on the coast we begin to see the low clouds start to fade away. notice tomorrow's highs. no 90s on the board. 71 degrees in san francisco. about 82 in san jose. 70 in oakland and upper 80s around the tri-valley. tomorrow night north bay hill and diablo ranch could get added to the fire weather watch. dry north winds will be making a

come back. also watch closely wednesday into thursday, this is when we'll likely see stronger winds, keep a close eye on that for the end of the week. storms passing too far north and east to bring us any rain. we are not seeing any rain in the extended forecast that'll take us through next weekend. the bigger change i know you will notice will be the temperatures. by the time we head towards saturday and sunday. three periods of dry wind, i think thursday will be the strongest or most gusty days of the hill top. look at those highs. next weekend in the low 70s, we'll have more news after this short break.

tot" refused to give up. captain cal is improving from his burns everyday. this playful picture is proof of that. >> and there is some video. >> firefighters rescued captain cal in late september. he was severe lilburned and two injured cubs have been brought to oakland zoo. you can see them there getting to know each other. >> so cute. >> in luxurious quarter i have to say. >> my gosh. a san jose's tradition, accordian. usually they would have 15,000 people there at little italy festival. people ordered food at several restaurants and picked it up.
