have been cost. just three days to go. some states counterly, others wait until election day. many are wondering when will we know? we turn to nbc correspondent this morning. we always appreciate your expertise especially with 72 hours to go, we think you should be resting up. what should folks be watching for this tuesday night? what is the first place you'll be looking when the polls close. >> firing up our schedule. you see a number of states here. getting the first votes out. i will draw your attention to a couple of states here. florida, georgia both at 7:00. north carolina and ohio at 7:30. these four states have that procedure in place that allow folks to get ballots in the last few weeks. they've been able to process and

get these counted so there is a very good chance. each four of them critical for that battleground. a very good chance we'll get a lot of the vote out and fairly quickly so we can get an early look at national trends for georgia, florida, north carolina, ohio in that first hour, hour and a half. >> out in the west, what about what will happen there? >> here is our road to 270. how about wisconsin, michigan and pennsylvania? here is the thing especially in pennsylvania, these are the states where it could take a while. they don't allow all those hundreds of thousands of mail-in ballots coming in, they have not been able to process them as they've come in and piled up. they can start doing that in

pennsylvania at 7:00 in the morning on election day. some saying we'll be too busy on election day to do that. we'll get to them the morning after the election. there is potential poor these states. we might not get a ton from the rest of the midwest. >> what about arizona? >> aishz, they've been doing mail-in ballot for a while. it means they'll probably be able to count even more of their vote election night. late on the east coast but you can expect 11:00 or midnight. if it is coming down to arizona, that's a late night bell weather. >> especially after 2016.

that fuelled a lot of doubt in the polls. what is different this time around? >> there is some skepticism due here. this is the polling average in the swing states right now. there were misses in the swing states in 2016. if the exact same misses happened again, it would be a different picture. trump would start flipping the states. it wouldn't be enough to get to 270. i want to point out, the election before 2016, the polls missed the other way. in 2012 when obama ran, the undercounted the democratic support. if this were to happen on election day, this would be the polling miss, you would see biden pulling very far ahead. it is true. bringing trump right back into

into tomorrow. details at 7:00 a.m. >> well, we'll look forward to that. now, to options for early voting and dropping off your ballot. they are expanding this morning in the bay area. in san francisco, there will be 11 new dropoff locations opened today. that includes the home of the warriors, the chase center. the civic center location in san francisco, there staff will be on hand to greet you as you drop off your ballot. sheriff's deputies are transporting the ballots back to election headquarters. >> we have our own drop-off station. we'll have at least three people and then when we move them, we involve the deputy sheriff. >> in alameda county there are two new options for voters. crews have set up a voting center at the oakland coliseum. the a's provided this video of us of the safety practices. you can vote in person or drop off your ballot there. the warriors' former practice facility in oakland is an option
