commissioners of the election commission said they're counting like crazy in this build behind me it's a little dark in the lobby area, but don't let that be a sign of what's going on. on the other side where the actual count is under way, they've been working on three eight-hour shift, non-stop essentially, trying to get these ballots out, these mail ballots counted. they suspect something will happen today, that according to the secretary of state who on thursday said the counting is coming in exactly the way they hoped it would, and they hope to hear something later today one thing i should mention, frances, there are other blots they say they will expect as late as tuesday of next week that's the tuesday ballots they're also going to be counting all of those ballots as well so no matter what happens, no matter who's called, that's a

very fast as the ballots come in and the skplecation pretty much from everyone, and this is why you're seeing the president. when the ballots are counted fully for the first time, joe biden is likely to have a significant lead, a small margin given what we're talking about. >> let's talk about the scenario the president has repeatedly tried to undermine the results, pointing out conspiracy theories without any evidence saying there's fraud there. howhere do you see this going and how far do you see the president taking this? >> this is a question he's been asked his whole life when he was born 70 years ago. how far will he take it? farther than you thought he said we expect to win in the wee hours of the morning, and

awe of a sudden, a flood of lawsuits for anyone not familiar with how it works, it's never the winner filing lawsuits. it's never the person who feels like they're going to win. the president is seemingly spiraled downward without a whole lot of friends he's being rejected right now almost entirely by the republican establishment. >> how do you see this election? how do you think this turned out for him? as we speak, they've held the senate, gained some seats in the house. this is certainly the furthest thing from a blue wave you could imagine. >> president trump had extremely strong coattails especially for someone who lost, and what it says is that, number one, he's still got that huge committed bachls we see him winning more votes in this election than he did when he won in 2016, and we

see republican candidates taking advantage of that and in some cases doing better than he did presumably because there are people that turned out to vote on the republican side who chose not to vote for him while they were voting for the senate house members, and those who showed up for him, showed up to vote for the senate he's still extremely powerful within the republican party and will continue to be as long as he chooses to be. >> john, here we are on day three and waiting again for the crucial results from pennsylvania, let's talk about the future of polling given 2016, given now 2020, and then we are here at this moment where do you see it going? >> i'm not here to defend professional pollsters, but i would say that i think it's important to remember that polls are as valuable as the models that go into them, snapshots,

to victory than the trump team yesterday during a briefing call with the bind campaign, they warned that we could see some bounce, which is basically a fun way of saying that they know the margins are going to tighten as ballots remain still being tabulated, but they also acknowledge that maybe you could see some shifting. maybe trump takes a lead, maybe biden goes back. they do believe when all the votes are counted, those states will fall in their favor as well pennsylvania is really the one we're all watching we know the ballots are continuing trickle in there, and the reality is a lot of that state voted by mail. it accounts for why it's partially taking so long, but it also accounts for why the biden team is feeling so good there. if you look at how vote-by-mail ballots are actually going, over 70% of them have been trending in joe biden's favor, so we're playing the waiting game on those, and there's a reason why
