jose,st developments. >> keiser said that they have begun notifying patients that may have been exposed to covid-19, starting with those that came here to the emergency department on christmas day. this new photo we obtained shows the christmas tree costume an er employee wore inside the emergency department of san jose medical center christmas day. while ming he wieling with pati and staff in the hall way. since then, 44 hospital staff have tested positive. now, they are testing if the air powered costume may have made it easier for the virus to spread. we spoke with an emergency department employee who asked to not be identified and worried about patients. >> if we got sick with minimum protection and the patients have less protection, i'm concerned this may be a big outbreak among

the patient population and also that had they may have a worsening case of this than some of us have. >> today, keiser started to notify patients of the exposure and the health department confirms, it is investigating the outbreak. some hospitals staff say the big issue was not the employee in the costume, but a lack of routine testing of staff. >> i feel it could have been prevented or minimized had, you know, testing been done prior. >> and some emergency department nurses tell me that they believe the outbreak may be linked to respiratory treatments being done in rooms that were not properly ventilated. keiser said they have no evidence that that took place on christmas day. reporting live in san jose. nbc bay area news. >> thank you very much.

this way, and we need them all. >> yeah, and the first storm will be different in the form of the gusty wind we are expecting. it's a factor that we have in consideration for micro climate weather alert, which is in affect for tomorrow morning. the gusty wind and at times, heavy rain for your morning. taking a look at the headlines. rain coming in tonight, the heaviest rain and strongity estimate win showing up around mid morning. relatively calm and light rain and still fog outside, the view in san francisco, shows you, a little bit of both right now, and 50 degrees, so, we will take you to walnut creek, looking at patchy follow still at 50 and in to san jose, you can see the low clouds out in the distance. 53 degrees, wind not too strong right now. but, if you fast forward about 12 hours or so, you will see those wind speeds starting though pick up. notice the visibility, down to zero in oakland, you will have to watch out for that, at least, initially, once the wind pick up the fog will be less of an issue, the wind and rain will be

the way the morning begins. temperatures close to what we are at now. the storm should move out quickly, in fact, as early as about 2 in the afternoon, we are expecting the back edge of the front to pass the bay area. so the showers will come to the end quickly. you can see the rain approaching from the west and some along the peninsula, crossing over the santa cruz mountains in to stanford. more significant rain showing up in the yellow and orange off shore. what the pattern has for it, is this atmospheric river connection that supports higher rain rates per hour. but the storm likely will move through fast. watch what happens in the morning. we approach 9:00, and by lunchtime, south bay, and just like that, by 2-3, look how all the echos just go off to the east. it's a sign of a fast moving storm system. which is the reason the north bay should see the best rain

totals. a half inch to a inch of rain, higher in the mountains and as we drop south, look how the totals here are in the rained v. you can see san francisco to oakland, a third of an inch to half inch of rain. everyone gets a taste of the winds as the front approaches, 9:00 to noon. you see the wind speeds from san francisco in the north bay, and gusts at times, 20-30 miles an hour. so, a blustery monday, you are see the second storm arrive, and half the rainfall totals we will see in the system. and here comes a third storm for friday. keep in mind, all of the storms are bringing snow to the sierra, which is good news. we will take a closer look at that coming up. and had there you go, monday, wednesday, and friday, the storm days of the week. tomorrow, we will have the mix of the 1-2 punch as we say with the wind and rain for monday. next round wednesday in to friday. and then, for now, next weekend, shaping up dry, a bit of a break

state. what is equally remarkable is that, the georgia secretary of state is a trump supporter, and a republican. and he basically said, i was doing my job, mr. president. there are just not those votes that you want me to find. i think, when we talk about draining the swamp, some people are going to ask well, just who is in that swamp and somehow, i think the president is going to have on to find some way to explain his way out of this. the problem is, it's his voice and it's the voice of the secretary of state of georgia, and you know, it's pretty hard to say, well, it's fake news. >> are we getting to the point where there's a certain escalating desperation on the part of the trump administration trying to change the election, even now, here we are in 2021? >> well, president's just run out of time, run out of room, run out of space, run out of

friends when it comes to doing what he wants done. he has gone to court 60 times and 60 times the courts shut him down. 86 justices and judges at the state level have weighed in on this, ten of them trump appointed judges at the federal level and exactly zeroer have said, we understand your point. your complaint. and today, when the president was talking to the georgia secretary of state, he went on with a great big list of categories of people who in one way or another had been denied the vote, well, every time, the trump folks have gone to court, the judge has said, okay, where is your evidence? and they have said, well, we don't have any. that's why the cases were turned away. >> okay. >> now the question is, does the president really have evidence now? if he does, he better show it quickly. the way things look right now, tonight, it looks like quite frankly he is trying to push the secretary of state around with out any proof.

so, hopefully for the president, he shows up with the proof tomorrow morning if not sooner. >> let's talk about nancy pelosi, re-elected speaker of the house by a slim margin. the vote was 216-209 what can she accomplish with such a slim majority in the house. >> well, this all has to do with the fact that the democrats have that slim majority. funny thing, joe biden the democrat won the presidency is, but the republicans did well in the house of representatives. they only lost one senate seat and won several governorships and state legislatures and it's an example of where the republicans did well, closing the gap in the house. by picking up about 15 seats. that was a great gain. and so, it really means that what pa ho what pelosi has to do, is put all of her democrats together when it comes to legislation. the problem is, democrats are quite a lot. they go from, you know, center
