inappropriate behavior, >> reporter: hey, peter.trongly good morning to you. yeah, that is right. support is slipping fast for the governor. the majority of new york's congressional delegation is asking him to resign. a defiant governor cuomo is saying he is not going anywhere and it is critical to wait for the facts. this morning new york's two senators joining the list of people saying cuomo must go. in a joint statement released friday senators chuck schumer and kirsten gillibrand wrote in part it is clear governor cuomo has lost the confidence of his governing partners and the people of new york. governor cuomo should resign. meanwhile, more accusations were published in new york magazine friday. jessica baitman said cuomos hands had been on my arms, my

shoulders, the small of my back, my waist. another woman caitlyn said she was hired as an aide for her looks and that she was verbally and mentally abused by him and his staff. avoiding the cameras for days cuomo was spotted walking on the grounds of the governor's mansion friday. on the same day during a teleconference with reporters he denied any wrongdoing while rejecting calls for him to step down. >> i did not do what has been alleged. period. i won't speculate about people's po former attorney general who's gone through this situation many times, there are often many motivations for making an allegation. >> reporter: lindsey boylan, one of the first women to accuse the governor of inappropriate behavior firing back on twitter writing he is calling up hate and speculation to be directed

critic around security that was supposed to be at the capitol on january 6th and he's been very sympathetic to those in the crowd, especially trump supporters who were there that day. in a new interview he's really raising eyebrows. here's what he had to say. >> i knew those were people that loved this country, that truly respect law enforcement, would never do anything to break a law so i wasn't concerned. now had the tables been turned and, joe, this is going to get me in trouble, joe, had the tables been turned and president trump won the election and those were tens of thousands of black lives matter antifa protesters, i might have been a little concerned. >> he acknowledged this could get him in trouble and certainly there are people who are saying those are racist remarks to make that distinction about the color or the political identitesters part of january 6th. this does f pattern of ron johnson talking a great deal about other kinds of protests that happened in the country in

george floyd civil case. approving a $27 million settlement with floyd's family as the officer who knelt on his neck for nearly 9 minutes stands trial for murder charges. gabe gutierrez has the latest. >> reporter: this morning some are questioning the timing of the settlement right in the middle of jury selection for the criminal trial but the floyd family is calling this a big first step. >> justice for george floyd. >> reporter: right after the historic settlement, george floyd's family neild in prayer in the neighborhood where he died. >> what does this mean for the floyd family? >> it's just a step closer to justice. >> the minneapolis city council unanimously approved the $27 million civil settlement, the biggest pretrial award following a deadly police encounter in the u.s. >> they cared about george floyd life and his life matters and that black lives matter. >> attorneys for the four

expolice officers in the floyd civil case did not respond to requests for comments. it tops the $12 million payout the city of louisville awarded for breonna taylor after she died a year ago. >> it may be designed to calm protesters as the murder trial of derek chauvin gets underway. >> they could have settled eight months ago and they chose not to. >> reporter: 7 of 14 jurors have been seated. opening statements are about two weeks away. chauvin is the former officer charged with second degree murder and man slaughter in floyd's death last may. he's pleaded not guilty. they say floyd's drug use contributed to his death. this week they added another charge of third degree murder. while celebrating the civil settlement, floyd's family is now calling for conviction. >> the way that people all across the world have paid tributes to him, i never thought
