restrictions have loosened. despite advancements with vaccines, national health advisers are urging people to stay safe and don't gather in large groups outside of your immediate family. so for those looking to celebrate, what do experts consider safe activities? the cdc is urging virtual church services or outdoor church services. outdoor celebrations. and for those easter egg hunts, limit them to your immediate family. happening today, people in east palo alto who are 18 and older are now eligible to receive the covid-19 vaccine. the city opened a vaccine clinic yesterday in the parking lot of cesar chavez middle school. it is the first time that they have administered the johnson & johnson vaccine. the hope is to give out 500 shots per day, it is a one dose shot. antonio lopez will speak this

morning on how clinic will be a life changer. you are encouraged to sign up for an appointment. and oakland coliseum vaccination site is set to close in the coming week. according to the chronicle, fema rejected the request to keep it open. leaders say that the program was meant to target hard hit communities and it fulfilled that goal. more vaccines are coming to california. governor newsom announced the state will see a huge jump in the number of doses by next week. it is expecting to receive 2.4 million doses of the pfizer and moderna shots. two weeks ago that number was at 1.8 million. and the governor says that that is why he is able to expand eligibility to all adults beginning april 15th. so far 38% of californians have

received at least one dose. and if you have yet to get your vaccine, you may want to get going because of more people becoming eligible, appointments are harder to come by. doing some smart research could put you closer to the head of the line. chris will be showing us how to use online tools to book your shot. >> reporter: this is the third time we've made this video because so much is changing so fast. since the floodgates are basically open now, we'll run you through some of the official and unofficial places that you can use to hunt down where and when vaccine a points are available. your best bet might be researching both to maximize your chances of getting a slot. so begin at vaccine finder.org. it plots availability on a man by zip code. green dots have open appointments and you can trust

but first astrazeneca's covid vaccine being used in europe is still not near approval in the u.s. and it might not be needed at all, at least that is the word from dr. anthony fauci. he tells reuters that the u.s. can likely vaccinate our entire population with the current three vaccines, pfizer, moderna and johnson & johnson. and more motivation for some, the cdc says if you are fully vaccinated, it is safe to travel within the u.s., no quarantine and no negative covid test needed. new guidelines specifically reference grandparents can now safely see their grandparents in other parts of the u.s. but the cdc held firm on its stance that nonvaccinated people should avoid travel. masks still are recommended. most enter national travelers even u.s. citizens will need to get a negative covid test before entering the u.s. time to check in on our

forecast. i remember at this time last weekend, we were saying that there was a possibility of rain tomorrow which could have impacted easter egg hunts. but it sounds like now we're just dealing with a cooldown. >> exactly. that original system that we were hoping would bring rain, i know it is easter sunday, but we need the rain, but it looks like that it will stay on the pacific, not really impacting us. so the cooldown will be much appreciated though because we saw record highs wednesday and thursday in san jose, san francisco. so let's take a look at your headlines for today. we see that fog. it started to make its return yesterday thanks to and onshore flow. chilly 40s right now, but we'll see a mix of sun and clouds. so let's take a look at the current temperatures. in the 40s and 50s for the most part. 39. a napa getting down to and right now half moon bay,

down to 6 miles in terms of visibility. some fog in the santa cruz area. and you will see the cloud cover if you look outside your window. and look at the forecast right now, in the north bay, 47 degrees. we have a lot of cloud cover. and that high pressure that was keeping us dry and warm has continued to make its exit east. now taking that weather out of the area. and we'll enjoy a much cooler saturday. so 45 degrees right now in dublin, remember yesterday we were really quick to sort of warm to the 60s. today not so much. doppler radar, you can see that things are calm in terms of the weather pattern. but i want to show you the highs this afternoon, because it is a significant drop when you compare. san jose, 66. con concord, 66. and half moon bay, 65. and so you will notice the cloud cover and look at the long range

>> i wash my hands so many times a day that i can't even keep count. so my hands are constantly dry and i'm reaching for the lotion. but the majority of them come in plastic bottles. it is no secret that the plastic bottles are bad for the plan either. johnson & johnson says that nearly 40% of americans don't recycle in the bathroom at all partially because things like lotion bottles need to be clean in order to be recycled so that means taking an extra step. but time for your climate hack. i found this bar lotion at the store. just warm it up between your fingers to activate it. no plastic packaging going to chemicals and no harsh chemicals and it smells great. a bar lotion can last two to three months. so if anybody stopped buying
