ali, what are the implications this week? >> reporter: good morning, lindsey, the aim of tomorrow's meeting in vienna is to trying to get u.s. and iran back into steps, to figure out a mechanism that will be acceptable to both sides and crucially, the meeting could offer an indication as to whether tehran and washington are finally ready for substantive first moves to revive a nuclear deal. but it's going to be complicated. first off, tehran has denied any contact with the united states in vee 18 that they're add damentd that they won't attend any meetings where the u.s. is present. and iran is still maintaining the position that it will only come back into compliance once sanctions are removed. nonetheless, this is a step forward. it may not have them in the same room, but they're in the same city talking, albeit indirectly which may just be enough to get the needle moving.
