celebrating this morning the women of stanford soaking in that march madness ride all the way to a championship and coming home soon. we have a live report coming up in about six minutes for you. but we begin with our top story this morning, vice president kamala harris soon will be back in the bay area. >> it's the first trip back home after taking oath of office. cierra johnson is following this and she'll come and push the promise of jobs today. >> reporter: good morning, marcus and laura. she's coming from los angeles to meet with folks to discuss the plan and all it entails, called the american jobs plan and it's said to overhaul things like elderly and disabled care, bridges, roads, transportation infrastructure, plumbing and housing, and all of this comes with a $2 trillion price tag.

the white house tells nbc president joe biden is proposing raising the corporate tax rate and eliminaing tax breaks for some industries, a plan the administration says does not impact individuals at this time. while she's in town the vice president will tour a local facility that works to provide clean drinking water, one of the goals of this plan, she'll hold a listening session with state leaders as well as small business owners here in oakland. we spoke with some folks ahead of this visit, already excited about what this plan could offer. take a listen. >> this bill if passed would be a $2 trillion bill and i think it encompasses not just infrastructure as far as roads and water t includes schools. it's basically recharging america. >> reporter: and as i mentioned, the vice president will be coming from los angeles, she's set to depart l.a. around 8:30, come to oakland, meet with the state leaders and some of those local business owners and she's

scheduled to depart oakland around 2:45 to head back to los angeles. we will have an update every step of the way both for you on air and online. we're live in oakland, cierra johnson for "today in the bay." >> all right, thanks so much, cierra. the man who replaced senator kamala harris in the senate, senator alex padilla is visiting the bay area today and also appearing in oakland. he's scheduled to visit the coliseum mass vaccination site to talk about distribution. at this point, the site is expected to wind down operations as fema site by the end of the week and fema expects california to receive a huge boost in covid vaccines. as the vaccinations continue to ramp up, the state is expected to receive more than 1 million more doses this week. california getting closer to half the state now at least partially vaccinated. it's now approaching 20 million doses administered. but this comes as worry continues over more cases tied

to spring break. 2,400 new cases were reported statewide yesterday. the total since the start of the pandemic tops 3.5 million. anyone 18 years or older living in east palo alto was able to get vaccinated saturday at a new clinic. people waited in their cars with their sleeves rolled up outside of ravenswood middle school. east palo alto is the first city in san mateo county to offer the vaccine to all adults. equity commission granted permission as the community is lagging behind other cities in vaccinations. >> part of the disadvantage that we faced early on in the vaccination rollout was being unable to vaccine our younger populations which yes are not as vulnerable due to their age but line of occupation. >> the site is not permanent and could move to other location in the future. "today in the bay's" sharon katsuda will have a live look at the bottom of the hour with more

on how you can get your shot and get everything together. authorities have not identified the two women who went over a cliff another bodega bay. first responders were called at a parking lot 11:00 a.m. on saturday. the chp is trying to piece things together. it's not clear how or why that car went off the cliff. developing right now, in minneapolis, the second week of derek chauvin trial is getting under way. the first weaning of the high-profile case was defined by intense and emotional testimony, this week will shift. "today in the bay's" jay gray is live outside of the courthouse this morning with more of the details. jay? >> reporter: yes, you're absolutely, right. we will see a shift from the tears that dominated the first week to more of the technical testimony in this case, some of the different aspects of what happened the day george floyd died. as the prosecution moves

forward, though, understand they're never going to get too far away from the emotions or that videotape the cell phone video everyone's seen around the world at this point. >> never an indication of any threat, any struggle that he makes particularly in the final minutes of the video. that's helpful for the prosecution, so they want the jury to continue viewing the video as many times as the court permits them to play it. >> oh, my god. >> reporter: you could see the emotion there and look, at some point look to move to the medical aspects with some of the witnesses that will come during the week including quite possibly the medical examiner. >> jay, i know it's really rare, i think the thing about it is we've been talking about it the police chief expected to be called to the stand by

prosecution to testify. that is rare to have a police chief come and testify against one of his former officers. what are we expecting to hear from that testimony? >> reporter: look, we saw two officers last week take the stand and testify against one of their own and now the chief, you're right. marcus, you rarely see the chief of police on the witness stand and testifying for the prosecution in a case like this. remember, though, he fired derek chauvin the day after all of this happened, and then came out later and said what he saw on that viral video and what he knew of the situation, he called it murder. so it will be interesting to see how aggressive he is from the witness stand but i think it's going to be very strong testimony once we do hear from the chief and again, likely to be some time today. >> all right, we'll be watching. i know you will, too, jay, thank you for the update. 6:06. a live look at the golden gate bridge where people using the pedestrian walkway will notice some changes today.

the eastern side pathway for those who are walking and cycling, they will actually be narrowed for work on suicide deterrent net project. the sidewalk will remain open during regular hours but pedestrians and cyclists should be extra cautious due to narrowed pathways. stanford celebrating a history-making win. the women's basketball team won its first national title in decades in a season that had them on the road for ten weeks. "today in the bay's" kris sanchez live at stanford. this was down to the last second, what a game. >> reporter: boy, last second indeed, and the coach said it best, it was not a pretty game, but it was a gritty game. stanford beat arizona 54-53, and it wasn't decided until 6.1 seconds until the end of the game. stanford's first national championship since 1992, and it

was extra special for kiana williams who helped win the championship in her own hometown of san antonio, texas. she had high praise for her teammates and coach tara vanderveer. >> i'm so proud of the team and we're champs. i can't believe it. she's a great leader and coach and even better person. >> reporter: coach vanderveer has a third national title and this season became the women's coach with the most wins in history. stanford was on the road for ten weeks because of the coronavirus. they played all games in san antonio, that's 86 days in hotels, living out of their bags, away from home, but the road trip ends today as the stanford cardinal national championship team makes its way back home here to stanford with a little extra luggage, they're going to have that ncaa championship trophy with them as

dublin. already a lot of people out the door, heading across 580 and into the east bay, we're going to see those temperatures today reaching 66 degrees in santa rosa, 64 in dublin, and as we head to the north bay, 67 degrees. we're going to see those temperatures in the south bay also in the upper 60s, and a gradual warmup this week. we'll talk more about that coming up in a few minutes. mike, what's going on now for the commute? >> kari, we have a change in the south bay first. we'll take the live camera in santa rosa for north 101 coming toward us, a crash at mckee just north of our camera right here. traffic just started moving a little more smoothly. look at the map, the bottom of the screen where we've circled. we had the earlier slowing going up to 880 and oakland road. now it's not that bad, consolidated down because of that crash, i believe may have just cleared lanes seconds ago. really everything is moving smoothly, slowing out of the altamont and slowing at the bay bridge, there may be a crash near octavia for 101, look at

new jobs created under the first two months in any administration in history but we still have a long way to go to get our economy back on track, after the worst economic and job crisis in nearly a century. >> president biden there doing what the previous president did as well. when he said it was the fastest ever, basically fastest from a standing stop. there was nowhere to go but up. though the "wall street journal" this morning ran the numbers on hiring and firing during the pandemic, and found when you look at just the big companies in the s&p 500, they actually hired more people than they let go during the pandemic, led by amazon. amazon really showing us the change in shopping behavior, stores were closed, amazon hired a breath-taking half million works, half a million.

fedex added 50,000, tesla up 22,000, so tesla hired more people than ford and gm laid off combined. costco 19,000 and facebook a net gain of 14,000, during the pandemic. job losses obviously came from smaller companies and of course, hospital leisure got hit hard, though the big takeaway on the march jobs reporting is showing how quickly they are coming back. we're seeing positive numbers on the economy and the economy bouncing back fast. >> no kidding, which is really good to see. everybody's ready to get out and about and are you still working from home these days? like me? well, so far your days may be numbered until you return to the office. at least that's the findings in a survey of more than 350 ceos, human resource and finance leaders combined. more than 70% plan to have employees back in the office by this fall. in the meantime more than half of the employees vaccinated or not prefer to continue to work from home even after the pandemic subsides. actually got to get some real pants to go to work. many of you may be feeling a

variety of emotions about the covid vaccine. maybe deeper than you've ever dreamed of. >> yes, but you know, mariah carey no exception. check it out. >> oh! oh! oh! >> okay. a little higher than i can do. the singer letting out the high note, posting this video on instagram of her receiving the vaccine saturday. she didn't say whether she was getting pfizer or moderna, she said this is part one so we assume she's looking forward to part two in a few weeks. ahh! that's a true talent that high note. another talent, being able to forecast what we can expect from the weather. meteorologist kari hall always working hard for us. how is it looking out there today? >> it's going to be nice this

week and put the weather on autopilot. we're starting out with clouds rolling by. here is a live look outside in san jose, although we are starting out with some clouds, it won't look like this all day long. we'll see some clearing and if you're able to head out for a hike today, enjoy. in the north bay, temperatures start out in the upper 40s and then we see a mostly sunny sky by noon, temperatures in the upper 50s and then during the middle of the afternoon, we have some low 60s here. it's also going to be quite breezy at times. we're still going to see those winds kicking up every now and then as we check out martinez, we'll reach up to 66 for a high today, oakland reaching 62. some of us may be wearing at least some light long sleeves throughout today, as our temperatures start out cool for the start of the week, but here's what's going on across the region. no storms headed our way. high pressure still dominating across the region, and it's going to keep our weather dry, but at least it's staying far enough away to keep our temperatures from really heating

up. so even though we are seeing some of that high pressure controlling our weather, we are going to continue on with a nice quiet week as we of course continue to watch the dry weather. we're keeping an eye on our rainfall deficit. let me show you some of these numbers and this is something we're going to keep talking about, because at this point, we do need to start conserving some water. when we look at the north bay, the rainfall totals so far over 12 inches but we need nearly 20 inches of rain to catch up to normal, and we know at this point it's just probably not going to happen. and we don't see any rain in the forecast, so we'll continue to see these rainfall deficits anywhere from 8 to over 12 inches in san francisco, continue to grow. that as our temperatures just come up slightly as we go through the week. so we're going from our inland areas in the upper 60s to start out the week, to the low 70s by the end of the week, and that's about what we'll see this weekend. so we can plan another weekend to get outside, enjoy some sunshine and comfortable

temperatures. in san francisco we'll mostly see some low to mid-60s over the next seven days. mike, what's going on right now the commute? >> kari, i said i thought lanes were cleared in san jose. they were not. now they're cleared in san jose, north 101 still jams up as you head up toward mckee. the live camera shows you now things moving much better. the last five minutes, had traffic almost completely stopped as we look at the map, talking about north 101 at mckee, our camera is closer to 60 where the arrow is the slow stretch, should be recovering quickly. chp confirms yes, they arrived on scene, they had to clear those lanes and then they did clear that vehicle from the middle lane there. now the tri-valley, no surprise your traditional slower for 84 and 580. the bay bridge backup and a crash off of i-80 at bryant and fifth, not affecting the off-ramp from what i can tell. getting onto the bridge is slow because the volume just builds on the incline. this isn't bad for 621 on a

check out this new video, nasa's mars helicopter successfully deploying on the red planet. the ingenuity disconnected from the perseverance rover late saturday. ingenuity has 31 earth days to be the first helicopter to fly on another planet. nasa hopes to conduct its first flight on thursday and we will certainly be keeping tabs on that. the cdc is giving vaccinated people the green light to travel. before you head to the airport, exam some changes. >> consumer investigator chris chmura is going to show us what's new and how to prepare for the changes. >> reporter: with social distancing, check-in security and immigration are a little clunkier than before. the steps might take longer. inside the terminal and on the plane you're almost always required to wear a mask.

the airlines are clear, no mask, no travel. warning about these n95 masks with the vent in the front, they're ideal for wildfire season but not necessarily for flying. alaska airlines says face coverings with direct exhaust valves are unacceptable, translation, that won't fly. how you board the airplane might be different. we recently saw united which usually uses groups boarding from the rear of the plane forward to minimize contact. keep that in mind if you like to carry on luggage and sit at the front of the airplane because overhead bin space could be short. here's a big question. will the seat next to you be left empty? maybe. can you bring cleaning supplies? the tsa says yes. wipes are clear to fly so are disinfectant sprays and hand sanitizers, as long as they're smaller than 3.4 ounces. perhaps the biggest change to air travel is your ticket itself. the airlines used to charge hefty cancellation penalties and fees but much of that is gone.

countdown to your shot, california getting ready for shipments of more vaccines, this morning, we are tracking what it means for you if you're waiting for your turn. "today in the bay" continues right now. good monday morning, i'm marcus washington. >> and i'm laura garcia. let's get to right on the latest on the vaccines. "today in the bay's" sharon katsuda joins us live in contra costa county, more doses on the way. sharon, you mentioned that you already took your teenaged daughter to gets hers. >> reporter: that's right. she was very excited to get it. i took her on saturday, and you could definitely see in the lines there's definitely a younger age group now getting vaccinated at the sites. next week the state has already announced it expects to open eligibility for the covid vaccine to anyone 16 years or older who wants it. a lot of people spent easter sunday getting vaccinated in san francisco. thousands got a dose at moscone center south. people we talked to were

relieved and grateful to get a dose. >> it's beautiful. it's the best way of spending easter sunday is getting vaccinated. >> we're really happy to get vaccinated. when you have elderly parents and grandparents that we really love so we just want to make sure everyone's safe. >> reporter: san francisco's moscone center is just one of many spots to get the vaccine in the city. months ago, we saw the elderly and retired lining up for their shots but the crowds out now at the vaccination sites are noticeably from the younger working class. i have to say, you do notice a difference when you're out and about this past weekend. i also visited my mother-in-law at her nursing home, we were allowed to go in her room and visit. that's a definite change from one year ago. back to you. >> big time and what a blessing that must have been as well. let's hope it picks up in the surrounding counties. thanks so much. i can't believe you've got'

teenager now, too. thanks, sharon. johnson & johnson in charge of a facility that ruined millions of covid-19 vaccine doses. emergent biosolutions has been under scrutiny for botching the production of about 15 million doses at a plant in baltimore. the department of health and human services helped make that change. j&j is installing a new seniorleadership team to oversee all aspects of the manufacturing. according to the biden administration they will have full responsibility for operations. experts say it's too early to tell if a double mutant covid variant first discovered in india and recently identified in the bay area is more resistant to vaccines. stanford researchers first announced a u.s. discovery over the weekend and they're now screening for up to seven other possible cases but right now it's contributing to a huge surge in cases in india, called a double mutant because it carries two mutations and help it latch-on to cells.

there may be another surge in bay area reopenings by midweek. tomorrow three of the four remaining red tier counties, sonoma, napa, and contra costa may all move into the orange tier. nor napa and coco counties it's a little too close to call. at the same time it's possible solano county falls back into the purple tier. again the state will make its assessments tomorrow. any changes would take effect the following day. speaking of sonoma county, the school leaders there, they like many other counties promise to feel out the reopening of classrooms over the next few weeks to avoid having to backtrack later. they tell the "press democrat" they are in no rush to keep up with the county if it moves into the less restrictive tier levels. county wide so far only elementary level students returned to campuses, in most cases a hybrid model. we have a new follow-up as well for you in the controversial idea to rename dozens of schools in san francisco. school board members plan to

reverse that vote tomorrow. according to "the chronicle" it is intended to avoid a lawsuit which claims the school board did not adequately present its intentions before making the decision in january. board members are also not saying that they were wrong, only they took the wrong approach and they vow to do it the right way. the renaming panel proposed 44 schools be renamed due to links to oppression and racism. lincoln, washington, mission and balboa high schools were all listed. developing in southern california, hundreds gathered last night to remember the four victims in last week's office complex shooting in orange. the shooting last week took the lives of four people, including a 9-year-old boy. four large photos of the victims lined a chain-link fence blocking the entrance into the front of the office building where that shooting unfolded on wednesday. police say the 44-year-old suspect knew all of the victims. he's charged with multiple counts of murder and attempted murder. happening now, hundreds of

homes evacuated this morning near the west coast of florida. manatee county right now in a state of emergency as a toxic wastewater reservoir is on the brink of collapse. >> county leaders say the situation is improving but critical after you issuing an order today. "today in the bay" sam brock has more on this desperate situation stretching on. >> reporter: laura and marcus good morning. over the weekend, at some point saturday officials decided they were not able to patch the leaky reservoir. that's when a state of emergency was issued and realized they have to pump all of this water, almost 500 million gallons out of the reservoir and into the gulf of mexico. over my shoulder you look at an evacuation zone some 360 families asked to leave, many of them did. some of them did not. this as public officials were pushing back on the idea that this water is radioactive. >> the southern pond as we mentioned is mainly sea water. >> reporter: for those people worried they hear radioactive elements in water which is

what's being reported right now. you're saying that's not a concern? >> correct. >> as much as i don't want to leave my home because of worries of anything happening, i'm terrified of my 7-year-old having to go through something catastrophic. >> reporter: they ramped up the rate of the water being pumped out. originally 30 million gallons a day, now up to 60. the initial projections taking 12 days to empty the pond look like it's going to be about four or five. a long time right now for residents here to wait to find out whether or not the reservoir will burst or things are going to resolve. that's the latest in manatee county. back to my friends in the bay. >> sam, thanks. starting today, santa clara county you may have to shell out more money to visit one of the 16 county parks. the counties resuming charging $6 for parking. fees were waived last spring. parks affected include santa teresa, stevens creek, vasona anderson and los gatos creeks.

things getting back to normal. this is a good one. the oldest restaurant in san francisco is finally reemerging from the pandemic. happening today, the historic tadich grill is set to reopen. the 172-year-old restaurant will officially reopen for lunch and dinner. it stopped doing takeout orders last july because it wasn't bringing in enough revenue. its location in the financial district probably made things harder, it gets so quiet there. at one point the owners were worried they may have to close permanently. a look at that, the legacy will live on. 172 years. it's a classic. >> i know. definitely want to try that out. >> there you go. dining in or dining out, the weather's been cooperating lately. how are we looking today, kari? >> i think it's going to be a beautiful day. at lunch time we could have clouds, temperatures near 60 degrees for your plan. we start out with clouds over san francisco.

let's head outside in the tri-valley checking out livermore starting with clouds. by about 10:00 or 11:00 the sun will peek out and sunshine and reach into the 60s this afternoon with some spots cooler than normal. it gets warmer as we go through the week. we'll talk about that more in a few minutes. mike, how is it looking for the commute? >> we'll take a look at the golden gate bridge, because i heard that one of the two lanes heading north had a vehicle that was stopped there mid span, looks like they are pulling that vehicle over toward the vista point, north side of the bridge and traffic's moving again. as we look at the bay bridge toll plaza, look at this. it cleared. it's 6:38, this is the bay bridge toll plaza live, definitely as we look at the map lighter traffic as spring break does kick in this week. we were just starting to see more traffic kick in last week

sheller in san diego assisting unaccompanied migrant children. it is now believed to be near full capacity. that shelter is set up at the san diego convention center. girls under 17 started arriving last month, 250 or so at a time. the department of health and human services says another group arrived yesterday which should put the numbers right under its capacity of 1,450. most girls are from guatemala, honduras and el salvador. a live look at the capitol, where the head of the police union is sounding the alarm this morning, urging congress to step up security following friday's attack on the capitol. one officer died, another was injured. the suspect was also killed. in a statement, the union chairman said the department is understaffed and now down more than 200 officers right now. 6:43. president biden pushing his massive infrastructure bill comparing it to the space race or the building of the interstate highway system.

>> scott mcgrew, once in a lifetime projects. >> they really are. those two things really cemented the legacies of the presidents kennedy and eisenhower, right? biden thinking that big. now, a lot of presidents have proposed the idea of an infrastructure massive overhaul. president trump proposed a $3 trillion bill but never sent anything to congress. biden wants action by memorial day. here is his point man, secretary pete buttigieg on "meet the press" on sunday morning. >> president biden, does he guarantee he will sign a bill totally paid for or will there be deficit spending in this bill? >> i'm not getting ahead of the process in congress but the decision the president put forward is fully paid for across 15 years, raise all of the revenue needed for these once in a lifetime investments. by year 16 you'd see this package working to reduce the deficit.

>> those numbers check out. if you amortize the spending over the 15 years, says the nonpartisan committee for a responsible federal budget, the spending does indeed pay for itself. over ten years, it still runs up the deficit, five years later, net neutral and starts paying for itself after that. to help pay for it, the white house wants to raise taxes on corporations, not as high as they were, but up from the lows set by the republican tax cut of 2017 and republicans ask quite reasonably, why would you think we'd be okay with undoing really the only major legislative victory we had in the past four years? also critics of the infrastructure bill point out not all of it is infrastructure infrastructure is rail lines and roads and bridges. it's also internet access and car charging and that kind of thing, water pipes arguably very much infrastructure. however, as we've talked about in the past, the

biden white house is definitely stretching the word all together to include things like better care for our elderly, the care infrastructure they call it. whether congress will buy it, we will see. we talk all about it on twitter, i welcome your comments. we have a good robust conversation on there. find me there, i'm @scottmcgrew. >> scott, thanks. as scott was mentioning president biden's massive infrastructure bill still a long way from being passed but if and when it does, it may provide a big boost to bay area transit projects. the $2 trillion plan right now is thin on details, but regional transit leaders tell "the examiner" they could see it kick-starting on things like b.a.r.t. connection into san jose and rolling out more hov express lanes, even a high speed rail expansion. the bill includes hundreds of billions of dollars for train projects. this is a cool story. a young nascar driver breaking

down to just the last second but oh, so rewarding. >> reporter: stanford beat arizona by one point, 54-53, and that didn't happen until just about six minutes before the game ended. this is stanford's now first national championship since 1992. it was an extra special win for kiana williams, who helped win that championship in her own hometown of san antonio, texas. williams had high praise for her teammates and her coach, tara vanderveer. >> i'm so proud of the team and we're champs. i can't believe it. she's a great leader and coach and even better person. >> reporter: coach vanderveer or t. dog as she's called now has a third national title following a season when she also became the women's coach with the most wins in history. stanford was on the road for ten

weeks because of the covid protocol, that is 86 days in hotels, living out of their bags, away from home, but the road trip ends today as the stand ford team comes back to the bay area and hopefully able to celebrate with their fans, albeit at a distance. at stanford, kris sanchez, "today in the bay." >> all right, what a road trip to victory, though. that is so great to see. proud of the cardinal there. all right, so it was a good week weekend for basketball, easter weekend. how are we looking weather wise, kari? >> it's going to continue, like the weather we had over the weekend, where at times we saw some sunshine, every now and then we saw some clouds and that's what we're seeing right now, getting up and heading out the door. here is a live look outside in san jose. it starts out cloudy but it won't be that way all throughout the afternoon, so make some plans to get out there to the park. let's head to the tri-valley. looking at the park forecast for those kids that are on spring

break, enjoy more time out there, even though it will be a cool start. we'll see a mix of sun and clouds, and then all clear by noon as well as heading into the afternoon. you'll notice that those temperatures will be a little bit on the cool side especially compared to what we've had lately, only reaching 66 degrees in martinez. san francisco looking at a high of 60 degrees and some upper 60s for the south bay, morgan hill reaching 65 as well as 65 in clearlake and our forecast shows that this high pressure is not budging. it's going to keep us dry all throughout the week, at times those winds will pick up, but at least that high pressure is staying far enough away to keep our temperatures from ramping up. it will feel seasonable throughout the week and so we warm up just a little bit more, but of course the back of our minds, it's like okay, it's been so dry lately, not much snow in the sierra and unfortunately we're still looking at our snowpack diminishing.

we're only at half the normal amount we get at this point early april and so we've been watching those measurements out there for the sierra, as we see the dry weather here in the bay area, our inland temperatures will reach into the mid to upper 60s and then some mid-70s for the weekend. we can make some more plans to get outside, enjoy the sunshine, and also just enjoying spring. san francisco will see some highs in the low 60s, and then some mid-60s in the forecast but pretty even here as we go through the week and not a whole lot going on. hopefully that's the same in your case, mike. how is it looking? >> you know, pretty much, kari. we have a couple of smallsmalle incidents but a lighter commute starting to build. spring break as kari has been talking about this week and next week and scattered throughout the bay. the bottom of your screen slowing starts again for san jose, right on schedule, a little bit lighter. circled in hayward 880 the slowing southbound off of 238 down toward 92. over here, there is a disabled

vehicle and possibly an abandoned vehicle blocking part of your fast lane. watch for that. there will be a crew headed out of bay point that will cause slowing into concord and already built a bit but that's not bad for highway 4. the bay bridge toll plaza you got to see this, it's slower across the span right now, but the toll plaza itself, this shot cleared about 20 minutes ago. we did have a backup starting to form and now it's lighter still. we'll probably see much more of a crowd starting at about 8:00 when the volume starts to build when it but the early morning commute right now pulling off with a lighter volume. back to you. >> thanks, mike. happening now some shaking in shorn california around 4:45 this morning a 4.0 quake hit near los angeles, the quake was centered in englewood but people all over l.a. reported feeling it. no reports of damage or injuries. a 3.3 quake hit that same area at 4:15. >> quite the way to wake up. up next our top story, madam vice president coming home.
