provided incorrect valuations of his assets citing a source familiar with the investigation. the attorney general has been working side by side with the manhattan district attorney on the case which means not just fines but possible charges and even jail time if convicted. the long-running probe is looking into whether the company misled lenders and paid the appropriate taxes. vance's office is pouring over millions of pages of documents including trump's tax returns. nbc news has reached out to the trump organization but has not heard back. the sheriff's deputies who shot and killed andrew brown junior in his driveway were justified. the news sent shock waves to the family who called the decision an insult and slap in the face our katie beck has more. >> reporter: phillip, in elizabeth city, an answer to a long awaited question. there will be no charges brought against the deputies in the

andrew brown case. after weeks of silence on the andrew brown jr. investigation -- >> mr. brown's death, while tragic, was justified. >> reporter: district attorney andrew womble defending deputy's decision to shoot brown and declining to press charges saying he was a threat to the safety and the public, his vehicle a deadly weapon. >> the officers who used deadly force on andrew brown jr. did so reasonably and only when a violent felon used a deadly weapon to place their lives in danger. >> reporter: the da showing a portion of the publicly withheld body cam footage it shows them arrived in a marked vehicle to serve search and arrest warrants for drugs. brown seated in a car is quickly surrounded and told to exit the vehicle. one deputy attempts to open brown's door and is nearly pulled off his feet as brown reverses his car

brown then drives forward forcing another deputy to jump out of the way then a first shot is fired through the front windshield officers firing several more shots from the side and rear brown attempts to flee crossing a vacant lot, then crashing into a nearby tree. the district attorney noting drugs were later found in the car. the brown family calls the outcome a slap in the face >> the family's going to explore all possible legal remedies but we still want the department of justice, and we have some hope that they would intervene. >> reporter: the sheriff confirms that the three deputies who fired weapons in the incident will keep their jobs but be disciplined and retrained. meanwhile, community members renewing calls for justice and the full release of the footage. phillip? >> catie, thank you. now to the latest in the mid east crisis. violence betweene israeli force0 rockets from the gaza strip.
